๐ก๏ธ๐พ Hot Days Mean Extra Care for Our Pups! ๐ถโ๏ธ
As temperatures climb, itโs more important than ever to keep an eye on our furry friends. Dogs canโt cool themselves like we do โ which means overheating can happen fast. Staying cool, hydrated, and protected is key to their safety!
๐จ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke:
Excessive panting or drooling
Bright red or pale gums
Weakness, collapse, or unsteady movement
Vomiting or diarrhea
Glazed eyes or signs of confusion
๐ง Always make sure your pup has access to fresh water, shade, and rest โ and avoid intense play during peak heat hours (typically 11AMโ4PM).
๐ฅ Pavement Test Reminder: Press the back of your hand to the ground for 5 seconds โ if itโs too hot for you, itโs too hot for their paw-paws. Hot surfaces can cause painful burns to their sensitive pads.
๐ Never leave dogs in cars! Even for a few minutes, car temperatures can skyrocket and become deadly.
Letโs keep our pups safe, happy, and cool all summer long โ because their health and well-being come first! ๐๐พ
