The Paw Pad

Dog Boarding , Daycare, Grooming ,Training The Paw Pad is a state-of-the-art dog hotel (also available for cats) is upscaled, unique and one of a kind.

We opened up for business in November of 2009 and was born because of a necessary to find a sustainable form financial support for our dog rescue mission, Praying for Paws, Inc. Which is a 501c3 dog rescue organization that provides care to homeless dogs in Henry County. Carol Kelly found a unique boarding facility, Ruffin it Resorts in Madison, Wisconsin touted as the best Dog hotel in the nation

. So Carol and her staff went to Ruffin It to learn fine boarding, the operations, policies and procedures. The Paw Pad is run just like a hotel with check ins after 1pm, checkouts before 11am, room services and more!. We cater to all your dog's needs no matter what they may be. Our staff is carefully chosen and trained to make sure to keep your pet as comfortable as possible. They make sure their suites are clean, dry and always have fresh water. Feeding is in order with instructions from the parents using their own food & treats. We can also give medications that are required. We are unique in so many ways including being green! We use Geo thermal heating and air conditioning which is a first in canine care. It helps clean and hydrate outside plants, sidewalks & canine turf. Suites and daycare areas are illuminated by the beautiful skylights. So this provides natural sunlight for operations and Let's light only to be needed at night. Our mission: To provide the finest canine care every day. We want and make sure your pet will be safe, and has fun with other dogs in a comfortable environment.

Monday September 9th: Come in your best set of pajamas!

Tuesday September 10th: Come in wearing your favorite superhero or costume that you have!

Wednesday September 11th: Show off the wackiest/silliest collar in your collection!

Thursday September 12th: Sport your favorite team with collars, jerseys, or bandanas!

Friday September 13th: Ask your mom or dad to bring along a safe fruit of choice to add to our punch bowl that will be served during our “Homecoming Dance”.

We will add a list of safe fruits for dogs to have for Fruity Friday.

For Homecoming photo ops in front of our backdrop, we will be charging $5. Photos will be sent home with the parents!
Homecoming King and Queen will also be announced by the end of our business day Friday, September 13th.

Daycare or Boarding dogs are welcome to join in! Please be advised, we will be getting pictures and videos.

Today we said goodbye to one of our very best friends, MR. Winston Churchill 🖤 He was fighting cancer for a long time , and still stayed with us during that time and never once let it effect him, he still played and loved.
We will miss him so much.
Our hearts are with his mom and dad at this time.
