Kia (African grey) ventured into Penelope’s (military macaw) area. Penelope lunges at her and Kia fires back. I got between them and ended up with a bloody finger. Kia has a scratch on her eye. If I hadn’t been there Kia would have been hurt very badly if not killed.

Surrendering your parrot should be the last resort! Many times certain behaviors can be better modified with diet fixes, enrichment, and sleep schedule.

We are working on getting our official documents back from the State of Arkansas and IRS but if you feel called to donate to our cause to help birds in need, feel free to inbox us for options to make donations.

Our larger goal is to create a facility and top notch home for birds who are looking for homes or have been surrendered or displaced. However, this goal will take a lot of time and resources. All proceeds we receive from boarding or donations will go toward this fund.

We thank everyone for their sweet messages of support and look forward to being a positive addition to the bird helping community.
