The Arkansas Pet Savers were able to save and transport 75 + lives this past weekend. I’m pretty sure they’re the best in our area at pulling dogs from death row and getting them to better lives in better, animal friendlier states. I could give you all the details and hours and hours of hard, dirty, wet, cold or hot work and the money it takes for vetting and food that goes into making that happen but it would be a book long post.

During this transport, their transport van was struck by a deer. But the worst is that a litter of 3 puppies broke with parvo upon arriving to their intended rescue. On a Saturday morning, the only vet’s available are emergency vets. Allied ER vet in Wisconsin wouldn’t even touch them without $1400 deposit. Then wouldn’t treat them without another $3500 deposit. The cost to save 2 of the 3 puppies (1 didn’t make it) is several thousand. No southern rescue has that money. Rescues have to depend on donors to help save these lives.

If you can even spare a dollar, it helps! Please consider donating to The Arkansas Pet Savers to help with saving these puppies and with help to repair the r transport van if you’re able.

If you’re an animal enthusiast and want to help save dogs and cats in our area, this is how you help. It can not be done without donations.

Our Story

We are an all volunteer animal rescue that primarily pulls death row animals from our local dog pounds. We do everything we can to help our community with the ongoing dog and cat overpopulation by taking, finding rescue for or helping to re-home the abandoned, neglected, abused, dumped, strays and injured dogs and cats of Northeast Arkansas. There is no way to rescue our way out of Arkansas’s unwanted pet population. Spay and Neuter is the only possible way to begin to control the cat and dog overpopulation. We are a voice for those who have no voice. Please join us in our mission to make Arkansas a better state for animals. Spay/neuter has to be mandatory. Cruelty, abuse, abandonment, neglect laws have to be implemented. The way our state thinks of dogs and cats has to change. Teach our youth the importance of spay/neuter, compassion and kindness. That’s where change will come.
