Some dogs were reclaimed so that’s bought time for others but not much time at all!!!

All pounds, shelters and rescues are OVER capacity. Please adopt and if you aren’t ready to adopt, please consider fostering.

The pound is FULL! These 2 are up next for euthanasia!

UPDATE….. The Arkansas Pet Savers were able to find foster homes and rescue for many of the dogs in this pound which means no dogs were euthanized today. The Great Pyrenees owner has been contacted. If she’s not claimed we’ll update.

These are the faces of rescue now.

Beautiful doodles and pure breeds. Ordinary pound dogs don’t stand a chance. We’re so happy these babies are safe but so many sweet, adorable puppies are dying now because there are more irresponsible pet owners and breeders than ever before. Spay/Neuter your pet and Rescue/Adopt your next pet. Please!!!

Our Story

We are an all volunteer animal rescue that primarily pulls death row animals from our local dog pounds. We do everything we can to help our community with the ongoing dog and cat overpopulation by taking, finding rescue for or helping to re-home the abandoned, neglected, abused, dumped, strays and injured dogs and cats of Northeast Arkansas. There is no way to rescue our way out of Arkansas’s unwanted pet population. Spay and Neuter is the only possible way to begin to control the cat and dog overpopulation. We are a voice for those who have no voice. Please join us in our mission to make Arkansas a better state for animals. Spay/neuter has to be mandatory. Cruelty, abuse, abandonment, neglect laws have to be implemented. The way our state thinks of dogs and cats has to change. Teach our youth the importance of spay/neuter, compassion and kindness. That’s where change will come.
