Just want to take a moment to brag on this wonderful Powderhorn boy and his owner. Cross earned his first major this weekend at the Sandlapper Designated Specialty which brings him up to 10 points with a major! Then he turned around in the afternoon and competed in Utility B after an almost 2 week beach vacation and no training. He won 1st place for more OTCH points and a very important first competition win, you need 3 wins with 1 from utility B and 1 from open b plus 100 points to earn an OTCH. Cross' OTCH journey is off to a great start! Like that wasnt enough this over achiever stumblled upon the new Fetch test, signed up and came away with another title. FTN. We are so proud of this boy and his owner, Melanie Page.

So proud of Powderhorn bred or co bred dogs this weekend. Several dogs and handlers spent the weekend in Charlotte NC at Will Alexanders conformation handling seminar. Lots of great learning and growth. Id like to thank you all for coming and continuing to do things with your dogs and be great representatives of Powderhorn Goldens! Melanie Page, Chrissy Edwards, Krista Mosby, Chuck and Vicki Fiskus and Courtney Higgins. Im including Krista although I didnt breed Bertie, her dad is our Rip so shes part of the family as well.

Meanwhile Barb MIna was off finishing Brodies Master Hunter title! Wht an amazing dog and team!

And last Wednesday Andy, co bred with Jan Moore finished his Championship in Ocala FL.

So very proud of all of you!

Everyone have a safe and Happy 4th. Be careful with your dogs. More pets are lost over the 4th of July than any other time. If pets get scared of fireworks they can bolt and get too far from home to find their way back. Make sure they are secured when going out to potty. Hope the "beaches" are doing well and adjusting.

The "beaches" had their 1st vaccinations and vet checks today. Everyone had a clean bill of health, no heart murmurs and the 5 boys all had their boy parts. Microchips are in. Getting ready for their new families...

The "beaches" just in from some hot outdoor playtime. I cant believe they will be 7 weeks tomorrow. I love them so much and Im so excited that they are going to enrich the lives of some special families.
