Just a reminder … make sure your outside kids have access to food and fresh water in this weather .. I have heated water for all my kids and houses for the cats … shovel, plow, blow paths to make sure they have access.. I shovel paths for the goats, cats and dogs … and despite opening clinic doors my outside cats will not venture inside .. drives me insane ..

The report echoes calls by other scientists to ramp up the surveillance of felines, which are susceptible to the virus and have a high mortality rate. The AVMA says several cases in cats linked to poultry or wild bird exposure had been reported before the outbreak began in dairy cows last spring.

Librela...make sure to check out the Zoetis website about this drug before use...I have used it in one patient as a last ditch effort to keep him comfy his last 4 mos of life...owners were aware of all potential side effects...I will not use it in my dogs which I tell all my clients..it is another tool in our kit but there are risks to its use.....I do use the cat product though, Solensia, with many patients, incl my own two diabetics...there are side effects as well but not the same ones as the dog version

This is Sheila Saz.. I have her two female kittens , Specter and Litt.. yes, named after the Suits characters .. she is not my cat per se.. not sure where she actually lives but I feed her and spayed her.. and it took two years but the other week she FINALLY let me pet her!! And I cannot tell you how elated I was to finally do it !! Well I can do it when she’s eating her wet food only so once the rain stops I can treat her with Revolution to help her ear mites !! I would bring her inside along with her friend named Tabby Cat but they say they would rather be outside so they have heated houses and water bowls .. maybe one of these days I can bring them in.. I also feed Mr Black but he is quite feral and after I castrated him he hated me for months but now yells at me for his wet food and I can get about 3 ft from him without him running away .. cats.. you gotta love them !!🖤🖤🖤

So I saw this hopper all summer.. and I was outside the other day and saw he was still there.. and it’s way too cold for him outside .. so he’s now in the clinic in a terrarium for as long as he lives .. he only has one back leg and I just couldn’t let him freeze outside

My friends rescue, Strays No More, was contacted the other day about Ella.. the owner needed to go into assisted living and the son called to ask for help with Ella’s grooming … this is the most matted cat I have ever seen in my life … now I have seen more matted Bichons in a cruelty case that I had to testify in court about many years ago where they were matted from head to toe … but this poor girl!! The mats weighed a pound!! We shaved her down today and then gave her a bath so she is clean and happy !!
