My friends rescue, Strays No More, was contacted the other day about Ella.. the owner needed to go into assisted living and the son called to ask for help with Ella’s grooming … this is the most matted cat I have ever seen in my life … now I have seen more matted Bichons in a cruelty case that I had to testify in court about many years ago where they were matted from head to toe … but this poor girl!! The mats weighed a pound!! We shaved her down today and then gave her a bath so she is clean and happy !!

I love bats for many reasons..but hate that they are little rabies reservoirs...so NO, vets are not trying to steal your money for NECESSARY rabies vaccinations... it is PA state law that all dogs and inside or in/out cats are vaccinated for rabies at 12-16 wks of age but this is NOT a government conspiracy and we are not lying when we tell you bats get into houses so VACCINATE THOSE KITTIES!! There are many meds, supplements, tactics etc that can be used to get them to your vet so really, no excuses...

If you have a matted cat PLEASE do not use scissors!! Get them to your vet or groomer or use a clippers!! This is Cuddles.. a beautiful 10 yo Maine C**n I just rescued as an ER owner surrender .. my bestie drove 4 hours to bring her to me and we shaved her last week and treated multiple scissor cuts.. I unfortunately lost 3 of my girls within the past month so I had room and she is doing great with the rest of the geriatric crew..
