My lazy boys are three weeks old and got their first face shaves today!!

They are all HEFTY boys! And all SO lazy! Not one likes to move or do much at the moment. They are walking, their eyes are open, and the screaming because their ears are opening has begun! But you can catch every one of them laying on their backs snoozing’ instead of being normal puppies!

I swear Jasper knows what I like and am starting to expect from his babies! 😂🩵

I will post individual pictures later. I just thought this one was too cute. 🥹💙

A little Tinkerbell (or Caramel from the Scoopable Litter) Update!

Sweet girl is finally around 20lbs and 17.5” tall at almost 6 months old! I am so proud of her and how far she’s come!

When I didn’t think I needed her, the Good Lord knew what he was doing! I couldn’t imagine life without my sweet girl now! 🩷

Hades, now named Neptune, will be staying with me!

I have been in love with this sweet boy since he was born! I have talked and talked and talked about how one day I would have an Iris/Jasper baby and how SHE was going to be so perfect. When there were no girls, he came along and stole my heart. His name has been Neptune in my heart since Day 1!

“Where did Neptune come from?”, you may ask! His grandma and Iris’ mom is named “Athena” (the goddess of wisdom, war, and handicraft). When I planned on getting Iris, before Athena had even been bred, I picked out the name “Iris.” Iris is the Goddess of Rainbows and Messenger of the Gods. And boy is she the Goddess of Rainbows!

When picking out a name, I wanted to stay with the Greek mythology theme. Originally I had a girls name picked out (that I WILL use in the future)! So finding a boys name that was not super common was a challenge. However, Poseidon. I liked that name but couldn’t use it for a dog. It’s too long and it doesn’t cut down to any cute nicknames… but once I was doing some digging… Neptune is Poseidon’s name to the Romans.

So now, we have Athena, Iris, and Neptune. Nickname Nep! (Or if you ask my Mother in Law, his nickname is going to be Looney Tune!)

Iris’ little boys are already 2 weeks old!!

Time is flying by way too fast with these guys. 🥺

I got their test results in today and will begin taking deposits now that I have made my pick!

AKC/APRI Standard Poodle puppies! They are being raised using ENS/ESI, will be up to date on shots and wormings, microchipped, and temperament tested at 7 weeks!

Dam, Iris, is an APRI Champion. Sire, Jasper, is an APRI Par Excellence Champion as well as an IABCA International Champion.

Puppies were born July 15th and will be ready to leave September 9th!

I haven’t shared the Shih Tzu pups of my moms too often, but they’re growing fast! They no longer look like slugs! Lol A couple more weeks and they’re ready to go! Tequila (the lighter sable) is still searching for a home!!

Puppies have hit the grumbling stage. They all are vocal as can be!

I love listening to them grumble but they’ve started doing it so often lately that I tone it out and don’t even realize it. Chase finally got to listen to them today and said “those puppies aren’t very quiet. There’s something not right.” Then proceeds to look at Iris, who is laying outside of her whelping box watching them, and he says “I know, Iris. I would lay with those cry babies either.” 😂

Iris says there’s nothing wrong, and they spend most of their time eating or sleeping. She’s such a good mama and mama’s need breaks too! I could sit and watch her and her babies for hours. I love their little grumbles almost as much as I love my girl! 🥹

Hades has a new name picked out, but he won’t start being called it until his results come back and he’s for sure staying! 💙

Isn’t he just the most perfect little guy! 🥹

Everyone is gaining weight and growing like weeds!

The boys are AKC/APRI registered Standard Poodles! They are being raised using ENS/ESI. They will be up to date on shots and wormings, microchipped, and temperament tested!

Dam is an APRI Champion, Sire is an APRI Par Excellence Champion.

Puppies will come with a health guarantee and a free 30 days Trupanion Pet Insurance!

We should be getting their results back this week so I can make my pick! My husband and I are still undecided and disagree which boy we like more! 😅

Our little chunks sure are growing and gaining weight accordingly!

Some are more dainty than others. Others are THICK boys. I love them all the same! ALL have a ton of curl to their hair!

All puppies are gaining and their mama is so in love with each of them!

Iris has always been a mother hen, but when it comes to her own babies, she doesn’t mess around. Though she is a total boy mom and if they’re not in danger, she will most definitely watch them cry and make them figure it out. (Like finding her in the whelping box. 😂) The only people she really trusts to do whatever is her mom and dad. Her two favorite people, we’ll take it! Everyone else is watched like a hawk and investigated.

Her and I have spent a lot of time in the floor snuggling these babies. We decided to go ahead and send off testing today! We should know in the next week and a half how they come back and will go from there!

Our princes turned to Villians!

AKC/APRI registered Standard Poodle babies were born between 2:17pm and 4:20pm yesterday! Iris and Jasper welcomed 10 babies in total, but 7 BOYS are remaining!

I was expecting more Parti’s or more white than I see, and wasn’t expecting Solid Black (brown, yes)! However, Iris’ daddy is mostly black and a beautiful parti so I’m not totally surprised!

Puppies will be dual registered (AKC and APRI)! Mom, Iris, is an APRI Champion. Dad, Jasper, is an APRI Par Excellence Champion as well as an IABCA International Champion. Puppies will be raised using ENS/ESI, up to date on shots and wormings, microchipped, and temperament tested! They will receive 30 days trupanion pet insurance and a health guarantee!

Are you ready to take on telling their story September 9th?

At this time, I am not accepting deposits. I am testing all puppies before reserving! Jafar and Hades are who I’m watching closely as my keeper. Only their results will tell!

As luck would have it, we lost our tiny girl last night. 😢

I finally went to bed at 12:30 and got up to check on mom and pups at 2am.

Being a new mama is tough. Iris is still learning. Thank the lord for pig rails! Unfortunately, sweet girl wasn’t able to get up underneath them like her brothers were and there mama is a little too obsessed with snuggling them…

She settled once I made a pallet on the bathroom floor and slept in there with her. Since then, everyone else is fat and happy and doing well!

We went from Disney Princesses/Princes to Disney Villian’s!

Tomorrow I will take official pictures! But I know everyone is dying to see what colors!

Surprisingly, we ended up with ZERO light colored pups! Except the Parti’s, if you consider that light colored! I know Iris carries black and white, but I didn’t think I’d end up with solid black pups. 😂😅

We will dock tails and dew claws on THURSDAY! When docked, we will be taking blood from each pup to send off to be tested! It will take 5-7 business days to get those tests back. Once they come back, I will begin accepting deposits on pups!

I was originally hoping to keep a female (as were SEVERAL people on my waitlist), but that brown and White parti male has my eye! If his testing comes back how I want, he may be my next keeper! We shall see!

Sweet girl is still holding those babies to herself!

Today is officially her due date!

My MIL told me waiting for Iris to have puppies is like when the Giraffe went viral from everyone waiting on her to give birth. It’s too true! We have a whole fan club waiting and I’m starting to become impatient!

Mama is still going strong. She’s very lazy and has an upset tummy. She just wants her mama’s snuggles, and I am eating it up. She doesn’t like to play outside too much, but she does go out and rolls around in the grass. Which is my favorite Iris Quirk. Even though she always ends up dirty. 😂🥺🩷

Still no new updates on Iris!

We’re still waiting for babies.

Today she got a bath, her nails trimmed, and her poodle feet cleaned up.

I’m excited for babies, her breeder is excited for babies, my MIL is excited for babies, and I know my waitlist is more than excited!!

I’ve had lots of people message me the past two days about puppies! I PROMISE I will post when they’ve made their arrival! I will also have a count of boys and girls as they are born!
