Just know, it started REALLY young and I don’t feel bad for it.

And yes, Wave was thrilled to be the one being held today during chores (he told m)e. He was NOT thrilled to learn I was not the one feeding him.

I’ve had several questions about this new litter, so here’s some clarity based on the AKC Dalmatian breed standard and what I know about these babies so far:

✔️ Why are they mostly white right now?
All Dalmatian puppies are born solid white. Their spots begin coming in around 10–14 days old and continue to develop as they grow. Some of them already have pigment starting to peek through, but the full pattern will become clearer in the weeks ahead.

✔️ Short coat or long coat?
I ONLY breed short-haired Dalmatians, which is the coat accepted by the AKC standard. While long-haired Dalmatians exist, they are not correct to the breed standard, and I personally do not support breeding for that trait.

✔️ What color will the spots be?
The AKC only recognizes black or liver (brown) spots on a white coat. While liver was possible in this pairing, it looks like this litter will be predominantly black spotted — classic and striking against their white background!

Right now, they’re tiny, snuggly, and pure white with just hints of what’s to come. Over the next couple of weeks, their unique spots and personalities will start shining through.🖤🤍

Morning snuggles with Isla & Breezy. 🤍

There is something about sitting on a quiet morning, loving on my Vi, holding her sweet babies, watching them wiggle, nurse, snuggle up and sleep so peacefully, that just makes everything feel right in the world.

🩵 Breezy is the smallest of the litter, she’s got a dainty head/face like her mama does, and she’s so chill and just goes limp when you flip her on her back. I really think that’s why I’m so drawn to her! LOL

💜 Isla is the biggest girl in the litter, she’s built more blocky like her daddy is! She also is not afraid to tell you how she wants to be held and definitely is going to have some vocal cords. She is one of Violet’s favorites if not THE favorite.

I cannot wait to watch all of them grow. I’m so ready for the chaos of puppies screaming at me for not petting them and constantly having to clean! 😂🤍

The first 24 hours brought calm seas and a reminder that some waves touch the sand only briefly.

These little beach bums are peacefully snoozing, nursing like champs, and thriving already. The slightest cry and mama decides the solution is to scoop them up in her mouth — if you didn’t know, “helicopter mom” translates across species too. 🖤

☀️🐾 Yesterday evening rolled right into a full-blown beach day… and it’s still going strong!

Late last night the WAVE came rolling in, and before long a RIP had us all wide awake and ready for some fun. Just as the sun started to rise, we caught the soft glow of a PEARL sparkling in the sand. Not far away, a little CORAL was waiting to brighten the shoreline with her color.

The morning drifted on, and just like that a gentle DRIFT carried us right into the perfect day. The air turned a little BREEZY, making everything feel cool and light, while the sky above was nothing but SUNNY. Our toes were buried deep in the warm, SANDY shore, and tucked away we found a tiny ISLA, the sweetest little hideaway.

And of course, every beach needs the heartbeat of adventure—so along came a playful FINN darting about while the REEF stood strong just beyond the breakers. By the time the sand settled, there was no mistaking it—this beach day is one for the memory books.

🏖️ These little ones may just be “making sandcastles” for now, but before I know it, they’ll be packing their beach bags for new adventures right around Halloween. 🎃 I’m touching base with my waitlists, but there’s still space to join the fun! Deposits will be taken on gender only, with official picks happening at 6–7 weeks once BAER hearing tests are completed.

Such a full circle moment for me!

Three-ish years ago I couldn’t find a Dal Baby that I was just drawn to. One that called my name. And I wanted one SO bad. I KNEW this was a breed I had to have, to love, be owned by, and one day breed.

Until I saw Violet, no other dal was “the one”. Close… but I never had the “THAT’S HER” moment.

Despite being told NO, around Two years ago (September 25th, she was around 13 weeks) I brought Violet home.

Today, I sat and gave her belly rubs and got to feel for sure two, maybe three babies moving and kicking. They are literally my every dream come true and they don’t even know it. (I felt WAY more little heads, but those two were for sure battling it out!)

Watch between my fingers and you can see them moving around!

It’s puppy week, if ya didn’t know! Is anyone else just so excited they coul cry or is it just me? 😭💜🩵
