1. While we would love to visit with your cat, we ask that you leave him at home. All of our cats arrive at Nine Lives with a clean bill of health and are used to the environment and our other cats here at the lounge.
2. What If I'm Allergic To Cats? That is perfectly fine. We do have other options! You can visit our
cafe, where we will have beverages and pastries available. You can also drink your beverage in the lower lounge waiting area where we have a large window looking in to see the cats right on the other side!
3. How Do I Adopt from Nine Lives Cat Lounge & Adoption Center? Great Question! We hope we can connect you with your next "fur baby" Once you arrive if there is a certain kitty you would like to see, let one of our staff know and we will make sure he/she is out to play (if available, not sleeping, quarantined etc) We will walk you through the adoption process. We will have you fill out a questionnaire and a general adoption contract through us. 4. Why Is There a Fee to Visit with The Kitties? As it is our goal to provide our guests with a unique experience where they can fall in love with their next family member, we do charge a nominal fee to help care for the cats (Food, Vet, Litter, Sanitization etc.) and help pay to keep a roof over the kitties' heads until they find their forever home.
5. Can I Surrender My Cat to Nine Lives Cat Lounge & Adoption Center? While we wish we could take in every cat we come across. Unfortunately, we are not able to take in rescues or strays at this time. All of our cats arrive at Nine Lives ready for adoption with a clean bill of health. Introducing a stray or rescue could put the other cats here at the lounge at risk of getting sick. Our main goal is to keep the kitties safe and healthy! We however will help you get in contact with the best route for you to get them in care to get them on track to a new forever home. We are able to take in certain home-ready cats that get along with other cats and aren't scared of people and loud noises.
6. Are the Cats Running Free in the Lounge? We are working closely with the health department to provide our guests a safe and clean space. We have split the building into two totally separate areas, with 3 different sections, we have the cafe side which is come and go as you please (No Fee) this is our beverage and Cereal side. We have 5 tables that sit 4 guests at each table (No Cats Allowed). We have, what we call the lower lounge waiting area, this is where all the merchandise is kept. Guests waiting to enter the lounge can check out all of our custom merchandise, or if you just wanted to look through the large window at the cats without going in that is welcome as well, there is no fee for this area. Last but not least, we have what we call the lounge, which is accessed through a double-door entry at the end of the hallway. Waivers will be required to enter this area. Adults must accompany children under 12 at all times. There are rules in place to keep our little kitties safe and not afraid to come to play!! Guests are able to purchase different time frames they would like to visit the kitties ranging from 15 minutes at $4 to 90 minutes at $15.
7. Is Nine Lives Cat Lounge & Adoption Center Kid-Friendly? Yes, of course! Children under 12 must have adult supervision at all times while in the lounge. Our goal is to have our guests and cats have the best time but the safest at the lounge as they can. We just ask that you follow the rules we have set in place. This helps our kitties feel safe and helps with not having accidents. Cats do have their claws so if they get scared, they may scratch (ouch) we don't want that. Cats, just like children can get scared by any sudden movement, so just move slowly and with care.
8. What Are Nine Lives Cancellation Policy? While we understand things come up suddenly that lead to having to cancel, we will do everything we can to work with you at rescheduling or canceling completely. Please understand that as a small business, we ask for a 24-hour notice of any changes to your reservation to receive a full refund or credit towards a future reservation. This allows us to try to fill the reservation.
9. Does Nine Lives Host Private Events? We do offer private events.
