Cool down tomorrow by coming into the shelter and picking out your new fur-ever friend for FREE!!!! We will need to talk with your landlord if you rent, so please let that person know we will be calling. An approved application is required before the adoption can take place.

We are excited to announce this year's Dog Days of Summer is TOMORROW June 23, 2023! We will be open for adoptions from 10-7! All dogs and cats over 4 months old are included in this once-a-year special you do not want to miss out on! PLUS, a free bag of pet food courtesy of Carthage Race Brothers and a free pizza coupon from Papa Murthy's. :)

Last time we met this this lady… who I like to call “Sadie Lady”, she was just adjusting to her new home and seemed a bit uneasy.

We messaged her mom a lot and kept her updated. Our crew even spent a little extra time with her to make her more comfortable.

Her mom asked us to watch her again recently and she was so much more herself and we got to see her fun personality.
🐾
Not all dogs do well in a daycare or boarding environment and could benefit from drop-in visits while getting to stay in their own home.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We need volunteers for our Dickson St. Pup Crawl event on Saturday, April 30 from 2-6 pm. It is a super fun, relaxed time! You will be assigned to bar/restaurant stop and you'll be stamping passports, handing out supplies for clean up if anyone needs them and generally keeping an eye on things. You will get a super cute shirt too! You do need to be available for the entire 4 hours of the event. If interested, please email Justine at [email protected]

Easter is this Sunday and we have a few eggs left!!

Order your Eggs and Golden Egg at www.joplinhumane.org! Each Golden Egg is just $5 each and can be added to any egg order of 25 or more eggs. Golden Eggs will come with chocolates and 5 lucky eggs will have a “Golden Ticket” for a large chocolate bunny. PLUS!! Each egg will hold a coupon from one of the following amazing supporters: Chipotle, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, Shake’s, and Cici’s Pizza. Thank you all for your support!!

Egg will be available for delivery on Friday, April 15 or Saturday, April 16, 2022. The Eggs will be placed in either your front or back yard between 8pm- 10 pm for egg hunting excitement the next morning.

Delivery is available within a 10-mile radius of JHS! What a great way to surprise your children, a niece or nephew, grandchildren, or a friend/neighbor.

25 Eggs: $20
50 Eggs: $35
75 Eggs: $50
100 Eggs: $65

We are doing a lot of downsizing and redecorating for Spring 🌸 if you have any towels to spare, consider donating local!

We are in desperate need of towels! Our shelves are very low 😞 If you are out shopping and hit some exceptional deals, the puppies and kittens would be so thankful for your donation!

We have been MIA for awhile now and we apologize!

However, we haven’t stopped taking care of your local fur-children.
Summer-time is obviously our busier time and when things slowed down we picked up some extra shifts at our other “job”.

We don’t see it as a “job” to take care of your pets while you’re away and hope that you still think of us when you’re in need of someone you can trust with your 4-legged (sometimes 3… Didn’t forget you Harlow 💕) family members.
