Good morning friends! Do you have a high energy dog? Are you struggling to find creative, engaging, and easy enrichment ideas.
Beginning with breakfast, Ukiah searches for kibble in the toy box, settles with a raw marrow bone, then gets a dental chew stuffed inside an old marrow bone (because she will devour the whole thing in two minutes 😆)

Oh, Ukiah! What adventures we will have!
It turns out I’m more dog trainer and less internet content creator. 😆 I do think about making training videos though. For now, I’ll just keep sharing pictures and teaching my new dog some old tricks🐾

She’s a clever one! Our first three weeks have flown by and Ukiah is settling in and starting to show her silly side and her kleptomaniac tendencies. Seriously, she will swipe anything… I am surprised and delighted with how trainable this little dog is!

Hello friends!
It’s Deb, your Klickerdog trainer here.
I’d like to introduce you to Ukiah. I adopted her this week from the local humane society. 💕She is my new project, a shelter dog, and my newest client. That’s right, I hired myself. 😆 I’m to going WAY out of my comfort zone and will be attempting to share her training journey online.
For now, I will only be scheduling clients on weekends.🐾

Hello friends, I have some sad news.
My Bennie, Dr Benjamin D Square, crossed the Rainbow Bridge last week. You might recognize him as the “face of Klickerdog” over the last few years. Bennie was one of the most intensely motivated and driven dogs I have ever handled. With his passing comes a great empty spot in my home and heart.
I will continue training and may even foster again when the time is right.

Getting hot out there! Passing along these pet fire safety tips. Be prepared.

Today is Pet Fire Safety Day so we'd like to remind our community members in the event of a fire, grab your pet! It's also very important to be prepared, so we recommend packing a pet "go bag" ahead of time. Your pet's "go bag" should include essential items like:

-A collar, leash, or harness
-A carrier or crate to safely house or transport your pet
-Food, water & any medication (enough for at least 3+ days)
-Veterinary information & vaccine records
-A photo of your pet
-A blanket and favorite toy to help with stress

The easiest way to be reunited is to make sure your pet has ID tags and is microchipped.

On April 27th, 2023, 13 years after remote electronic collars were banned in Wales, England approved the Animal Welfare (Electronic Collars) (England) Regulations 2023 Legislation, making it an offense for a person responsible for a cat or dog to attach an electronic collar, or cause an electronic collar to be attached to the cat or dog.

The IAABC is proud to share the same goals of eliminating the use of shock devices from training and behavior work. We do so by modeling, educating, and providing members with effective alternatives.
