Pirelli has a tendency to be rude to other dogs when toys are involved so we worked on that tonight for awhile with icee as my control group.
She did really well but towards the end of the session she readjusted on the toy and got my hand in just the right way that locked up my fingers 😂 I always think these “blooper” moments are the best part of training but no one ever shows the ”what the heck just happened…” moments anymore.
P.s.- don’t judge my rug right now Pirelli’s little black hairs are everywhere and it just looks like someone with a black pen tried pointillism on my training room 😂
The first week of our Puppy Bootcamp is always my favorite because I love getting to know the dog on a deeper level and see all their little quirks and personality traits before we start diving into any real hard or challenging tasks. The first week is the hardest on me and on the dog as they adjust but building the bond and relationship with each other is just so special it makes it all worth it ❤️
Even though Koda is medically retired he still likes to get dressed up and go out every now and then.
Today I was reorganizing toasts go bag and Koda got excited when I pulled out the vest so he got to wear it for a bit while he played with his ball.
Grief can hit in strange ways. It’s been over two years since this beautiful girl crossed the rainbow bridge. She is a huge reason this business even exists and why we are so passionate to help dogs be confident in their own body and environments.
I loved her. I still love her. I will always love her. And what she taught me will always be cherished so deeply.
I miss you sissy.
Canine Camp-Out will make you proud and will strive to be a place where any dog like you will be safe and understood ❤️🐾
Here is a little clip of toast and I working on our new trick!
The purpose for this trick is mainly so that when he is on the grooming table I can have full access to whatever part I am grooming, but it’s also a nice step towards a play dead command which we will definitely be teaching pretty soon!
Toast and I don’t always see eye to eye on things, but trick training can always get us back in sync and having fun. This is something that’s all our own because Koda never really liked trick training so we never went to far with it.
He has his TKN (Novice) and TKI (Intermediate) we are slowly working on His TKA (Advanced)
Sometimes it’s the little things that bring joy into your life 😂❤️🔥
Sometimes being a service dog means you miss out on the fun. Having a strong down stay is so important for all service dogs. Toast is a downstay pro #toastedtuesday #caninecampoutOH
