Junction City, KS Animal Shelter Our goal is to place our animals in the best hands, making sure they have a forever home! (After hours, press 0 when you hear the recording).

If you have found an animal, please call the JCPD (785-762-5912) to contact our Animal Control. When adopting a dog, we have everyone go through an adoption application. Here are the steps:
1. Visit the shelter and see what dog perks your interest.
2. Have part of the shelter staff take dog out of cage (if not on stray hold) for you to associate with.
3. If still interested, fill out an adoption

application.
4. Give the shelter a few days to review all the applications on said dog. Adoption fees for dogs:
$145

If you are interested in a cat
1. Have one of the shelter staff take the cat out of the cage (unless on stray hold) and have you associate with it.
2. If all goes well, you can fill out an adoption application to adopt the cat and take them home the same day! Adoption fees for cats
$95

He is literally the sweetest boy, with a little bit of a spicy side (don’t worry, he won’t hurt you, but best in a home with no dogs or younger children)

He likes to love bite every now and then, but otherwise he has craving attention.

Staff had a great time doing a pack walk this morning. We had a good group of adoptable dogs that joined us. We are closed on Wednesday’s so staff can catch up on cleaning and be able to regroup to ensure the best care for our pets and the community & this is what we chose to do this morning after cleaning! 🧼

Okay, here’s the low-down on this handsome boy named Snow Plow: He is SO sweet and wants cuddles and attention- seriosuly, turn your volume up! ⬆️ HOWEVER- if you try to touch his things, he gets a little ✨ sassy ✨ We are unsure if it is just in a cage or if he would act similar in a home. We offer foster to adopt though! He is neutered, current on vaccines and FIV/FELV negative. He would also make a great shop cat 🐈 for those unwanted mice!

Juno is here to remind you that there are interactive videos for cats on YouTube as well as cat games! Enrichment is SO important for both cats and dogs. It allows their mind to work hard and mentally exhaust them! (Warning: if your cat is fiesty, maybe don’t use an electronic they could destroy 👀) If you do this, drop the video of your cat enjoying their games in the comments! 👇🏻

FOUND HIS HOME- NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION El Patron is looking for his new family. 🥹 He LOVES LOVES LOVES to cuddle with you. Very affectionate, almost as if he is a dog in a cats body. With other cats, a slow introduction and we think he would be fine, just needs to be done over a few days to get adjusted. He is neutered, FIV/FELV negative and current on his vaccines 🐾

These friends make a WONDERFUL pair. Alone, Strawberry Shortcake can be a bit of a bully to other kitties, but with Jelly Roll, she has met her match! Jelly Roll is the social butterfly while Strawberry is social for .2 seconds before she decides to try to nibble on you. They both are FIV+, but that doesn’t stop them from living a normal, healthy life. We are looking for someone who wants a needy and outgoing boy and doesn’t mind his stubborn, sassy friend tagging along for the ride. 🐈

This Christmas, we have been so blessed to be able to once again allow our pups to choose some toys that were donated! We love doing this video every year. 🐾

This sweet girl came into us with severe Upper Respiratory symptoms- sneezing, stuffy nose, mucous. She was placed on antibiotics, however, she continued to go downhill. Dr. Shamburg was quick thinking and thought we should search for a polyp! Lo and behold, she had a VERY LARGE one blocking her breathing, resting near her soft pallet. She is feeling much better and is enjoying being able to breathe normally!

Oh Grandma, we love you! We just want you to find a home 😔
