Uterine cancer is the most common type of cancer in rabbits, affecting nearly 80% of unspayed females by the age of five. This slow-growing cancer often goes unnoticed until it reaches more advanced stages. Spaying your rabbit can significantly reduce the risk and make all the difference in preventing this potentially life-threatening condition.

Harmony Animal Hospital is proud to support Opportunity Early Childhood Education and Family Center this holiday season. Opportunity is one of Palm Beach's oldest children's charities, celebrating over 85 years. Their primary focus is to serve the children of low-income working families through the delivery of high-quality educational programs that embrace the whole child through family programming.

To assist the families with financial burdens during the holiday season, Opportunity is asking supporters to host holiday toy drives. You can stop by Harmony Animal Hospital and drop off a toy or book appropriate for 6 weeks to 5 years old.

You can also purchase an item through their Amazon wish list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/9DXU4S93WM9N/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex
or make a monetary donation with the gift designation as Holiday Toy Drive: https://www.opportunitypbc.org/donate

While wildfire smoke can be incredibly irritating for people, it also poses serious health risks to animals. Pets, horses, livestock, and wildlife are all affected by the smoke from large fires. If you can see or feel the smoke, it's important to take steps to protect your animals—both pets and livestock. The AVMA has compiled helpful tips on how to keep pets safe during wildfires. For more information, check out AVMA's resources on 'Wildfire Smoke and Animals' here: AVMA's Wildfire Smoke and Animals (https://www.avma.org/resources/pet-owners/emergencycare/wildfire-smoke-and-animals)

All of us at Harmony would like to pause and say THANK YOU to all of our Veterans, both two and four-legged for all that you have done and continue to do. As Arthur Ashe once said, "True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.”
