📣May I have your attention please 📣
One Horse at a Time Draft Rescue would have you all believe she 'saved ' horses at auction last night.
Let's just set this straight!!
Horses selling in auction that bring OVER 2000 each are not exactly in danger.
Before blocking me you used MY name to beg the public to pay for horses you WANTED,not horses that needed it.
The only thing you 'saved' them from was coming here to be loved in ,admired and posted for homes who both want and can afford them.
To be blunt, you actually caused more harm in doing so by absolutely ignoring the horses who desperately needed it.
If that is 'rescue ' then I'm damn happy I'm not one.
But wait!! It's not just us. You did this to a local Texas rescue who was trying to help a very sick Belgian by bidding them up to nearly 3,000 at cleburne Wednesday night, didn't you?
Yeah you did.
Ego? Fun?
Who knows why.
Was that how you 'help'?
I think it's clear that we buy and sell horses, we do post horses owned by kill buyers to try and get them homes before they go to slaughter AND we take in needy horses to help get them homes.
We aren't ashamed of that in any way!!
These horses get excellent care during their stay with us.
The difference here is we are not asking the PUBLIC to fund paying for our horses and their care.
I have asked you MANY times to help drafts that come here and you ignored them. I feel that well-meaning donors of rescues should be very aware of what truly needs saving and what doesn't and that their help goes to horses that NEED rescue.
Not ones who do not.
We rarely get involved in online drama but In this particular instance, it is vastly misleading to the public in general and we feel this should be addressed.
Thank y'all for being here and let's get some dang good horses some homes ,shall we ??
