Texas Independent Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue (TIRR Rescue) is a unique rescue organization among the rescue community. This organization was conceived for the purpose of providing rehabilitation and sanctuary for those dogs that other rescues could or would not take. Those dogs that are too old, too sick or behaviorally unacceptable or as I like to say “TIRR Rescue is the home of the old, the crippled and the crazy”. Over the years we have been extremely fortunate in rehabilitating socially unacceptable dogs who in many cases have become service dogs, emotional support dogs and, just by their companionship, have changed the course of peoples lives. As no one can claim 100% success, TIRR Rescue provides a safe and secure sanctuary for those dogs whose physical or emotional condition prohibits them from being placed in a private home. The care of these dogs through the balance of their lives is one of our primary objectives.

North Texas Giving Day is the basis of our survival. NTXGD donations start on September 1, 2024, and continues through September 19, 2024, however contributions can be made year round. There is also an option to make recurring contributions which, no matter how small, provides an essential resource throughout the year. TIRR Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit corporation and all contributions are fully tax deductible. It is through you that our work is possible and the credit for each and every success goes to those who support our mission.
