Nita Repete
When Peter was born all odds were stacked against him. He was born with a cleft pallet, and by the age of two had undergone five very invasive throat surgeries. When the decision was made to try & repair the palate we were ok with Peter just being a pasture ornament. We had hope but never expected him to become a performance horse.
Fast-forward to November 2021 - Peter had beat the odds and we were entered in the BFA juvenile. For a little horse that wasn’t even supposed to be alive & almost a year behind in training - Peter had a very successful futurity year. We even entered a few amateur rodeos that summer & he loved it! Placing top 10 at his first one!
In August, we found a chip in his fetlock so he had to take a few months off to be able to recover in time for the BFA. He ended 2022 qualified for the futurity short go against the best horses & trainers out there! He had close to 20k won.
He got the winter of 2023 off and we went back to work to hit some spring Derby’s - He took a pretty hard fall in March & in April just before the Ruby buckle I broke my leg so once again we were out for a few months. In the meantime he got to go to rope pen & took to the heeling like a pro! He just wants work & be the best at what he does.
Fall of 2023 I was back to riding & ready to go so we entered up but something just wasn’t right. Peter was struggling & there wasn’t anything standing out to the vet. He wasn’t wanting to turn right, got real bracey on the left turns & he had this new found anxiety before runs. Peters shoes got pulled & he was turned out. Over the next 6 months we had a bone scan, MRI, & multiple lameness exams done & they were all inconclusive.
Summer of 2024 I met Candice with Elite Equine Therapy. I asked if she would be willing to give this mystery lameness a try. 12 treatments later we were able to enter again and win some 2D money against some of the toughest horses in the industry!!!

I started working on his shoulder and some hind end points along with other front end points and his neck and whole body protocols.
This is one of those times WHY I stress the importance especially on these mystery cases to be willing to give it a chance and see it thru!
One session ISNT enough.
Not saying it hasn’t in the past but 😂 we’re not all that lucky for sure!
It always pays off.
There’s lots of things can be going on that I have to work thru on top of the main issue: scar tissue, bad circulation, arthritis , nerve damage or problems etc etc
This horse is going to be lethal here very soon!!
Thank you Holly Stormont for trusting me!! 💪
