Exciting Grand Opening Update!

We’ve already shared the news about our Grand Opening on October 30th from 11 AM to 7 PM at our new building, 1616 Construction Dr, Kalamazoo, MI
But we have even more exciting updates to share!

❤️ HALF OFF ADOPTIONS!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Charles and Lynn Zhang, all adoptions completed during the event will be half off, they’ve graciously agreed to cover the other half of every adoption fee that day!

Please remember:
• Applications must be submitted and approved before an adoption can be completed.
• We cannot hold animals for this event.
• Adoption paperwork and dog meets must be completed same day.

We’ll also have a bunch of our foster friends joining us, so come by to meet them, tour the new space, and celebrate with us!

Meet some of our foster kittens! They all have their own awesome personalities and they are ready (or almost ready) to find their forever homes!

Pisces: She is 3 months old and a little shy to start out in new places, but she is braving her foster home and exploring more each day. She loves to cuddle the other kitties and she is a sweet girl. Her profile is online and she is ready to go home!

Scorpio: He is 3 months old and he is super sweet, he is braver than his sister and he likes to explore and play. He also loves to cuddle the other cats and he is a sweet boy. His profile is online and he is ready to go home!

Fiyero: He is almost 2 months and is a cute little love bug, he is a foster favorite and as a baby him and his sisters started out completely white! He is not online yet and not quite ready for a new home.

Glinda/Nessa Rose: These girls are also almost 2 months old and they are sweet and cuddly, but they also have that well known siamese attitude. They play rough with each other and others and have a lot to say when they don't agree. They will each need an understanding/experienced home that is ready for a kitty that doesn't always play nice. We know they are super cute, but they deserve a home that knows what they are getting into. They are not online yet and not quite ready for a new home.

Hazel: She is 3 months old with a unique personality. She did not start out the nicest, but she also was scared of all the new things going on around her. Her foster has worked hard with her and she is getting better each day. While still hissy, she still allows her foster to pick her up and pet her. She will even ask for cuddles/pets once she feels safe. She will need a home ready to continue her progress and give her lots of time and patience. Her profile is online and she is ready for a new home!

Due to an error with Instagram posting the draft with mistakes, versus the fixed version with the actual genders of the first three. Here is a fixed post! Shortbread, Biscotti, and Raisin are not girls, they are boys!

Meet our newest puppies that just arrived today (now yesterday haha)! They are all sweet and loving and ready to find their forever homes.

The Bakery Litter: Retriever mixes, 2 months old (All in foster besides Snickerdoodle)

The Spices Litter: Mountain Curr mixes, 3 months old

Crimson: Pit mix, 2 months old

They will be online on Petfinder and our website starting tomorrow (later today), so please keep an eye out for their profiles. You are welcome to still fill out an application ahead of time at animalrescueproject.org. We are also going through our wishlisted apps that were previously interested in them before as well tomorrow (today)!

Thanks to an amazing sponsor, starting 10/18 through 10/25, Gigi, Maggie Duke, Kings of Leon, and Jasmine will have an adoption fee of $50, their sponsor will be covering the rest through that week!

These sweet pups have been waiting patiently without much interest, but they deserve loving homes just as much as any other dogs. Please share to help them find the forever families they’ve been dreaming of.

As always, we’ll still be reviewing all applications thoroughly to make sure each dog finds their best match.

How has Thumper not had any interest?! 💔

This sweet boy once had a meet set up, but they never showed up and he’s been waiting for his turn for awhile.

Thumper is only a year old and some kind of adorable hound-ish mix (we’re not totally sure, but we do know he’s perfect). He’s got giant ears that could probably hear across the world, and he loves nothing more than giving hugs and soaking up affection.

He walks nicely on a leash and loves to sniff every scent he can find. Thumper has made several dog friends here at ARP, so he’d do well in a home with or without another dog. He hasn’t been cat-tested yet, but we’re happy to do that for any approved application.

He’s not the biggest fan of young kids, they can be a bit much for him, so he’d do best in a home with teens only.
