Got new tools today and now I know how to use them. Cant wait to see if I have been treating the earth well. Time to start testing and building better soil. My Goal to understand the language of plants through Mother Earth. My new Garden Journal will be much more detailed now.

Can you believe I retired to play in the dirt? I still can’t believe I did it. But I am so glad I did. My young KVCC class mates are planing the future of the earths surface. That is so inspiring. They make this education journey less stressful. I’m going to keep showing up even if I can’t keep up the pace.

There are so many cool things to learn about plants I’m taking a food break from studying plant nutrients. Because a bug and my plants keep distracting me from reading. However it really helps for me to study the plant along with the reading. Even though I’m going to need to look up the information even after I learn the information. I have the memory of a squirm but my love of books let’s me keep the information close enough to keep learning. My plant definantly has some deficiencies.

Completed another great urban garden workshop at Literacy council of Kalamazoo for adult learners. It was so cool we had a student all the way from Equadore on our Zoom. The active participation made my heart melt. I hope more like minded friends want to start gardening for the health of it. It was a small group but how cool to be sharing my skills with someone in another country. The feedback made me happy that I believe on side streets and back yards too we can build a Urban farm web that collectively changes our nature and food systems to heal ourselves and the globe. Let’s keep growing together.

I had the pleasure of hosting western students to my tiny urban garden to do a workshop about the importance of the effects of gardening on our mental Phyisical social and financial wealth. They enjoyed meandering in the garden and had great questions. I love sharing my little tiny piece of the world. It’s Tibet but mighty.

I went to Delano Homestead farm with my soul science class today and it was so fun. I love watching young people get involved in learning about farming and the value it has in our community. Learning to heal the soul through healing the soil. I couldn’t have asked for a better day.
