It's still hard to believe that our little $40 Aldi greenhouse survived Thursday's destructive storm completely intact, especially since a large tree crushed a house just three blocks from us. Sending all the good vibes to those still dealing with the aftermath.

We just can't get enough of our Black Copper Marans. These hens lay the most stunning eggs. They are the sweetest chickens. They have beautiful black feathers that shine blue in the sunshine, copper flecks in their head & breast and a couple cute feathers on their feet. 🖤🤎 I think we will have them always.

Something about the homestead bread this week... Mmm..mmm..mmm... So good. Farmstand open this week. Come by and pick up some Homestead Bread, Vegan Zucchini bread, Vegan Kitchen Sink Cookies or maybe eggs if there's any left. 😉

It looks like we've got a surge of Carolina Wrens around the homestead this week. Maybe a few of them decided to seek refuge here after the recent hurricane in the South. They've found a great home in our aviary, with plenty of water, food, and safe spaces to explore. Welcome, little wrens!

Whipping up a couple vegan treats for the Farmstand this week. Everyone's favorite Homestead Bread, walnut topped zucchini bread and chewy salted chocolate chip cookies. 🍪 We'll try not to eat them all. 😉
