Meet Victor!
He's a 1.5 yr old neutered Bernese Mtn Dog.
🐾 Are you the perfect home for him to kick off 2025 in?
He's one BIG goofy boy at 84lbs and still growing. His Dad was around 100lbs so by the looks of his paws he's still growing into them.
He's good with everyone. Happy with kids of all ages to hang out with. He will require a fenced yard. He often comes when called, but is not reliable so a fenced in yard will be required at his furever home.
- He appears to be great with other dogs, but will need a meet and greet with other dogs in the home to ensure they get along.
- He has done a wellness visit at a vet to meet cats and did fine there with them.
- Victor has full run of his foster home 24/7 he does not go in a crate. The longest he has been left alone is about 4 hours and he did just fine!
- He loves to play with his toys, run after balls in the backyard, play tug of war with his rope, going on walks and being outside he loves all that. He also just loves to be wherever you are as Berners tend to do.
Victor is still very much a puppy with a lot of energy and some training to work on. His perfect family is a family that is active and willing to take him on walks or play in the yard and one that has the time/resources to work on training would be perfect for him. Fosters have a very loud house with a 2 and 4 year old and the noise does not bother him at all. He's also great with the kids. He does whine at the door when they leave and is extremely excited when we come home so we do think he would prefer a home where he isn't left alone too long/too often.
His fosters haven't come across much that scares him besides common things like the vacuum cleaner and fireworks (we had neighbors celebrating Diwali). He does bark a lot when he sees other neighbors/dogs outside. It also takes him a little while to calm down and welcome friends/family into our home. The longer he's been with his foster family, the better he is at taking cues from them that our guests are friendly, but he does still bark and take time to warm up.
He is so polite around the dinner table/when food is out! Occasionally he will come up to the table and beg while they are eating, but all it takes is simple "no, go lay down" and he'll leave.
Victor is doing soo well at his training and will make a great companion.
He is up to date on his vaccines.
He is located in Carmel, IN.
If you are interested in Victor you will have to arrange a meet up at his fosters home.
Adopters must be willing to meet him and pick up at his foster home. Unfortunately, we cannot arrange transportation to forever homes.
