Exciting News!

We are thrilled to welcome Tamsyn Bucher, LVT, as the new Director of Operations at the SPCA of Southwest Michigan! With 18 years of experience in veterinary medicine and a deep passion for helping animals, Tamsyn is the perfect addition to our team.

Her journey began at an animal shelter, where she discovered the powerful impact of providing care and comfort to animals in need. She loves seeing the moment when animals realize they are safe and loved. Tamsyn’s love for animals is truly inspiring—at home, she shares her life with 4 dogs, 4 cats, and a ball python!

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, gardening, kayaking, painting, solving puzzles, and crocheting. She is excited to bring her extensive experience to the SPCA of SW, helping to improve the lives of animals in need and support the organization's growth. We’re so excited to have her on board and can’t wait to see the amazing things she’ll do for our community.

Our team plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of the dogs in our care, and we need people who are ready to make a difference!

🔸 Position: Kennel Staff 🔸 Responsibilities:

Feed, clean, and care for the dogs daily
Socialize with the dogs, ensuring they feel loved and safe
Give dogs medication as needed

🔸 Availability: Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
🔸 Location: S.P.C.A. of Southwest Michigan
