This weekend's Grand American also featured three Bench Shows, one Friday, one Saturday, and an additional Youth Bench Show on Saturday.

UKC would like to congratulate Eric Brown, the owner and handler of the 2025 Grand American Nite Hunt Champion, NITECH 'PR' Brown's Powerhouse Pimp. Pimp is a 4-year-old English male. Eric and Pimp are out of Pinewood, South Carolina. What a way to start the year, besting a great crowd of hounds, and winning all three casts this weekend.

Out of 299 entries on Friday night at Grand American, GRNITECH GRCH 'PR' Carolina Blue Bristol, a Bluetick female owned by Brent Lipscomb and handled by Chris Speer took home 1st with a score of 875+.

Trevor had a chance to sit down with Chris Speer, his son, and his kennel partner that you'll hear on an upcoming episode of the UKC Hunting Ops Podcast so keep an eye out for that.

There is still a lot to be decided before tonight's Grand American Nite Hunt Champion is crowned. 230 eager dogs and handlers are waiting on dark, to see who can sneak into the Top 20 tonight, and maybe even punch their ticket into that distinguished Final Cast.

Grand American weekend got started last night with the Grand American UKC Pro Slam. UKC would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the winners from last night's hunt! Also, a thank you goes out to the Walterboro Coonhunters Association on hosting the hunt.

The UKC Winter Classic bench show is one bench show held over two days. Meet your judges!

Friday is Registered and Pairs (judged by Scott Rosson).

Saturday is Champions and Grands (judged by Sid Underwood).

The Top Ten Bench Show will take place Friday evening and be judged by the panel of all three qualified judges together: Scott Rosson, Sid Underwood, and Alan Kalal.

In case you missed the news...UKC now accepts ownership transfers online!

-If you already have puppy papers in hand, you can use this online form to complete the registration process. No mailing needed!

-Or if you’ve just bought an adult dog that is already UKC registered, this is how you can put the dog in your name officially (all with just a few clicks).

Your Certificate of Ownership and chosen pedigree will be mailed to you after processing.

Holy Cats - UKC Now Accepts Online Dog Ownership Transfers!

A "Transfer" occurs when:

1. You have purchased a dog already registered with UKC and need to put the dog in your own name (“transfer” it from old owner to new owner)

2. A puppy already has puppy papers and you need to permanently register the pup (“transfer” it from the breeder to new owner, which might still be you)

3. You need to add, remove, make changes to who is listed as the Sole Signatory and/or any of the Successors (“transfer” it from current Sole Signatory and Successors to the new)
