Brushing education: if you have a long hair pet or specifically a poodle/doodle. Line brushing, as shown in this video, is the best technique to make sure you are brushing to the skin! (This is the only way to prevent matting- if you continue to just brush the top layer of hair, it is almost certain that the bottom layer will become matted) By moving the hair out of the way to expose the skin, you can brush thouroughly and leave almost no tangles behind. After, you always want to check your work with a comb. The comb will expose any tangles that still need to be brushed out. The best brush to use for this technique is a slicker brush- as I am using in this video.
