My goal at Companion Canines is to help your dog become a happy, well-balanced and reliable companion. We offer a unique opportunity to find out what training methods work best along with giving you information to make you and your dog’s lives better. Scientific learning theories have proven canines to be a social- and community-driven animal, each with their own specific language. All of the trai

ning done with Companion Canines is built around positive reinforcement as well as non-physical punishment. Through mental and physical activity, the goal for your animal is to become a well-balanced family member. As a result, your dog will not be lonely or develop destructive behavior when left alone, and will be better behaved during human and social interactions. Dogs won’t always be perfect, but they certainly deserve to be happy! I’ve dedicated myself to training in a variety of instructional techniques to better meet the needs of each individual canine personality. I believe each situation requires a degree of skill and knowledge, but most of all compassion. It is my goal to share my compassion for animals with you so that the owner-dog relationship can be completely understood and thoroughly enjoyed. Dogs are truly a gift from God and I believe dogs consider their human relationship a gift as well. My professional experience includes:

Nacho with small dog Nacho was supposed to go back to the shelter today😟😔☹️😢Nobody has shown any interest. All of you sending likes and loves, thank you, but he really needs shares to find that person who might be interested. He has moved on to another foster, thank God, as shelter life would have destroyed him. But he still needs a home! He’s 1-1.5 years old, up to date on vaccines and is neutered. Knows name, come, sit, down, leave it and place.He is working to perfect stays and waits and off.

NACHO update again. Perhaps AuSable Animal Shelter isn’t sharing this dogs progress! He has been with me for 5 days and has gone from a wild child to a pleasing pup! He knows all of his basic commands and just needs you to ask him for what you want. He will be returned to the shelter Tuesday morning and waiting very sadly for his forever home. This dog will not do well in the shelter environment. Once he is out of the chaos he can focus very well and relax. He loves to be loved on, and it’s obvious he hasn’t received much love in his past.

How long does it take to train a dog?? This big guy came in at noon on Tuesday, this video was about noon on Thursday. Every dog is different of course but consistency is key! AND PATIENCE!♥️♥️
