We did it! The 2024 Holiday Chili Party is in the books! What a blast we had! A full house, lots and lots of delicious food, and much merriness was had by all. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who could join us. To my clients and students, YOU are what make our barn so special. And we are all here for the love of the horse. Feeling very blessed.

The Holiday Chili Party is CANCELLED for tonight. The ice is thick out here, and the wind is strong. Two Mid-American Electric trucks just went past us, slowly, very slowly...so power is already an issue...

You all mean too much to me, so please stay home and we'll find a better night to have a celebration. Stay tuned and stay safe everyone!

All the horses are inside and warm, dry, safe and happy!

Evolution of a sunrise yesterday. Gone in 15 minutes as the clouds came back in. Amazing! Love my office view.

The Black Wonder Pony. How can it be three years? This has been a particularly tough one. The pain is deep, buried, but can come roaring back out with the slightest memory. Still. I think it always will. My Beautiful Boy.

The Magnificent Sir Soda Pop followed the sunset on Saturday, April 13. We are all still in shock. The most beloved pony colicked badly that morning and despite all the help from Dr. Sierra and the crew at Abrahams, we had to say goodbye. A fitting tribute will come when we're done reeling. Life will never be the same without him.
