Please join us in congratulating Lorna Miller as she hangs up her smock and hands over her shears/scissors after 26 years of grooming. We will miss seeing Lorna, Jo and Kody as they exit our building this afternoon for the final time. Lorna was very grateful that Dr. Yoder welcomed she, Jo and Kody to the Kalona Vet Clinic 5yrs ago.

Lorna & Jo would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of their clients. They say "We've made so many friends both furry as well as human and appreciate each one of you. Thank you for trusting us both with your pets".

As Lorna, Jo and Kody exit, we would like to extend a warm welcome to Madison (Maddy) Vrchoticky. Maddy is from Riverside and graduated from Highland High School. She has been doing her grooming apprenticeship through PetSmart in Iowa City. Maddy has had the pleasure of shadowing Lorna the past few weeks and is looking forward to take over where Lorna is leaving off. Maddy will be taking care of her own scheduling. Please feel free to reach out to her by either email or phone at [email protected] or 319-541-1493

Our Story

Kalona Veterinary Clinic, P.C. was originally established in 1977. We are a full service veterinary health care facility offering a broad range of complete medical, dental, diagnostic and surgical services. We place a strong emphasis on wellness and preventative care and we are well equipped and fully prepared to deal with the medical needs that may arise for your animal companion.

People bring their pets to us because they’ve heard of the many services and treatment options we offer, but they stay with us because of how they are treated. At Kalona Veterinary Clinic, you are never just a number – you and your pet are an important part of who we are, and we consider you to be our most cherished asset.

Our patients include a wide variety of small and large animals, from dogs and cats, to pocket pets, like hamsters, mice and guinea pigs, and livestock. We have a special interest in swine medicine and offer complete health care services, both within the clinic as well as on-site through our farm call services. Whether the animal you share your life with meows, barks, or snorts, we’re prepared to work with you – every step of the way – to extend and improve their life and make their years with you as happy and healthy as possible.

Most importantly, at Kalona Veterinary Clinic, we look well beyond our services and the education and experience of our staff to place the focus on what’s most important to us: you and your animal. We’ve worked hard to develop solid, lifelong relationships with our clients and to create special bonds with the animals they love. We’d love to become your trusted Kalona vet and to provide you and your animal with a lifetime of quality care. Stop in and see us soon. We can’t wait to meet you!
