It's really been a trying year already around here. I'
m sorry that we haven't had any litters. On April 8th I fell and broke my ankle (trimalleolar fracture) badly. I've been on non weight bearing orders since the surgery.
My Penelope wasn't feeling well and was not eating, she didn't have a fever, wasn't in pain, nose wet, etc. Vet suggested deworming and pecticillin. She was drinking plenty of water so I added clear Pedialyte.
She perked up and I thought she was doing better.bWe went out of town and while we were gone she took a turn for the worst and we don't have any emergency vets close by and we lost her. Still don't really know what happened. She was a healthy girl and her only fault was that she loved to eat everyone else p**p when they were out. I tried everything to get her to stop to no avail. But she was the sweetest little girl and we'll miss her always. 💔💔
My girls are getting older and to be honest there may only be another couple of litters. To quote Stevie Nicks I'm getting older too. Our health is not perfect. It may be time to rest more.
All of my puppy parents are the absolute best and I love seeing my grand pups in the family group. Thank you all for being a part of our family.

I'm sorry we didn't have spring litters this year. My husband was diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer and we had to get through 2 surgeries and lots of testing and doctors appointments. When they did the scans with the dye he had a really bad reaction to it and we spent several hours in the ER. It was hard and exhausting for both of us. Of course it's much harder for him but we've been together since we were 18 years old ( he's 62 now, I'll be 62 next month) and I don't know if I could live in a world without him in it. So it was devastating news. But ..right now, he is cancer free. He will have to have regular checks to make sure it stays that way.
Anyway ...I'm hoping to have a litter or 2 in the late summer or early fall. Just watch the page. I really appreciate the patience.

It's been crazy here, it seems like there are just not enough hours in the day to do what I need to do. Or it's a day when I just physically can't do much.
The babies got dewormed, nails trimmed and first vaccinations yesterday. 💜And we got new pics. Not all of them were very happy after all that. 🙃
