Rescue ponies are the best! These 2 young riders are excellent at helping me get to know and build confidence in our foster pony. These girls are always helpful and willing to be of service with our rescues.

I thought our world needs to see more of a sweet girl and a sweet pony. Illa and Uno on a Wednesday afternoon. Sending a tiny bit of love and peace out into the world as those so close have lost so much.

So many sweet moments with my summertime bestie and the ponies of the farm! Illa reminds me to slow down and enjoy the small things like having a pony enjoy a nice grooming. Today we groomed and washed several ponies but Hercules and Darby really enjoyed their Illa time🩷🩷

I’m sooooo excited for the sweetest pony! I have been fostering Hercules (Helping Equines Regain Dignity) for almost a year and recently he went for summer boot camp with his potential new mom. By the looks of these pictures he has settled in and is loved. Beyond excited for his future and this amazing opportunity!♥️

Today I picked up two rescues from a local killpen. This particular one has a pretty horrible reputation 🤬 and I have made it a rule not to line the pockets of places like this by bailing horses from them. I broke my cardinal rule and don’t feel the least bit bad about it now that these two kind souls are in my yard!!!Humans should do better. Thank you to all those that have already reached out to help!! I am thankful to work with a small and local rescue that genuinely wants to help the unwanted equines of the slaughter pipeline.

I’m very thankful for the equine community that surrounds me and how so many reach out to support in different ways. Most recently I had an offer for body work sessions. Two rescue ponies were treated to a relaxing afternoon with Rose Moore who has recently started her Equine Bonding and Bodywork business. Darby and Hercules loved Rose and I learned some specific things about their bodies that will help me work with them. Thank you Rose!!

Giant pony show and tell day with our new friend!!

This gentle giant came to spend a month with me while his new family finishes remodeling their barn. We will spend time seeing how much education this guy has and let his new mom gain confidence with her new partner. Welcome Yeti!!!
These young riders enjoyed horsey show and tell day at the farm. We love Yeti!🫶🤍🫶

I am continuing to work with a small and dedicated group of horse folks that believe in sharing the joy of horses to kids that do not have any access to horses. This program functions through the Guilford County Agricultural Center and utilizes their indoor barn facility located within the Greensboro city limits making it easy for urban area kids to have access. We would love to grow this program and invite anyone interested in learning more to volunteer or just come see the youth program in action.

I was lucky enough to cross paths with the lady that developed this program
in 2019 and she needed a volunteer with quiet horses. I could supply those and so our journey began. I don’t know how exactly, but over time our small farm could help many more kids!

Our next phase of barn work has started at home in Madison. 🐎🐴. Onward &upward!!

On International Wear Your Summer Camp T-shirt Day, since Cathy (86') and Cassie's (04') first year KPC summer camp tees have been made into quilts, we wore this summer's t-shirt. We did the math and we have 33 years of summer camp fun between us. It was Rosalita's first summer, so 34! We hope to see you at the barn for Summer 2024! Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont

Just in case anyone didn’t know … I love rotten but fabulous rescue ponies! Stewie has been with me for several years and is the most charming but rotten beast on the planet😈. This is Gemma and Stewie’s 1st trail ride together and he was perfect.
We put a deposit down on a barn that will be built at our house in Madison and once that’s built I hope to take in many more Stewies and help them find a purpose🤩🐎
