To maximize potential in a real world search, we must demand perfection in the basic foundations of training.
Notice the handler keeps moving once K9 preforms its TFR. This helps to not cue the dog. Also keep slight tension on the lead. Mark when nose is back at source. #k9 #dog #workingdog
A lot of interesting in this video. You can see her throw her head up when she catches odor. Handler waits to “mark” until she is looking back towards the target source. Keeping enough pressure on the long line to prevent it from dragging and getting tangled but loose enough to let the dog work. #working dog #gsd #dog

Environmentals! Like we always say. You can’t do to many environmentals. The reason? We want our dogs comfortable in every situation we can put them in because we never know where we’ll be searching. If a dog is comfortable enough to do some obedience and their TFR then they will be comfortable enough to hunt in that environment. We always take full advantage of these opportunities.
