The holidays are a hard time to get training time in but we still managed. Even as big as Negan is he has no issues pushing through obstacles to get to the highest levels of odor and Huxley working the door seams before entering. The door seams are an important thing for us to not overlook.

Another seminar in the books. Storm K9 spent this last weekend in Ford City PA instructing for Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group HRD teams and handlers from a few other teams. The weather fought us a little but we made it work and the chef and some amazing meals for us to warm up. As always, we tried to leave them with as many new tools as possible to help them improve. Thanks for having us!

Instructed Alpha Search And Recovery fall seminar last weekend. What a great weekend and a fun team to work with. Worked with the intermediate/advanced HRD dogs, did a presentation on teaching environmentals, and had an impromptu puppy class. I hope all the handlers walked away with some more tools in their tool box to be more successful.

Had the privilege of instructing at the Search One Rescue Team fall seminar in Texas. Met some great K9s and handlers. Made some new friends along the way. Even got to help celebrate the retirement of one of their K9s with a giant toy dump after working a prob. We had access to some great locations that allowed for a lot of learning to occur. North Carolina Task Force 11. Can’t say enough about these men. They are who we were assigned to. They put some work in. They were amazing to us and our dogs. Proud to have been apart of working with them and made some new friends.

Super proud of the work these dogs have been putting in lately. They will do anything we ask of them even in adverse conditions and they never question it. They are just always looking for the opportunity to get rewarded.

Negan is a 6-year-old German Shepherd cadaver dog sent to Buncombe County from Missouri to assist in the search for our missing community members. Both Negan and Jakob, of Storm K9 Solutions, came to North Carolina with a team of four dogs and three people.

As teams continue to search for survivors, specialty K9s like Negan are scouring for answers in all directions through dirt, dust, and debris. While our community hurts, members (including furry ones) from across the United States gather to support us in so many ways. Thank you Storm K9 Solutions for being one of the many teams playing a part in Buncombe County's recovery.
