Meet Renee Our Featured Pet Of The Day!! Renee is a 2 year old spayed Poodle mix. Did you know that some tick carried diseases in dogs can increase your pet’s chances of developing age-related kidney disease and even failure. If you do not already screen your pets for tick related diseases then we recommend you do every year. If your pet has been exposed to a tick carried disease even if treatment is not needed then your pet needs to be checked for kidney disease annually. We offer geriatric screening in both dogs and cats annually in hopes to detect diseases early. Let us know if you need our help screening your pet.

Meet Kondrad Our Featured Pet Of The Day!! Konrad is a 1 year old neutered Siamese. Did you know that tomorrow is World Rabies Day! We want to raise awareness about why we vaccinate pets when it would seem they have low exposure to Rabies Virus. Rabies Virus is almost always fatal even with post exposure injections. Rabies is carried by domestic and wild species as well as humans. Our Goal in the United States is to achieve complete eradication (Rabies free status) of the virus. You may be thinking the goal of eradication is foolish, but there are many countries that have achieved or maintained Rabies free status. The U.S. has been able to keep a low prevalence but we are not Rabies free. We must keep our population vaccinated to protect our pets, ourselves and our Country.

Meet Griselda Our Featured Pet Of The Day!! Griselda is a 1 year old female American Bulldog. Griselda is helping us with these facts; How to know if your pet is having trouble breathing. Panting (open mouth) is normal for dogs when they get hot, stressed, or feel pain. Closed mouth panting is never normal in a pet. Cats or rabbits that open mouth breath are also always a concern. Labored breathing while sleeping is one of the first signs of heart disease. If you are concerned about your pets breathing please reach out and make an appointment with us as soon as possible.
