Meet Beatbox Our Featured Pet Of The Day!! Beatbox is a 4 month old male American Bulldog. Did you know that most Heartworm preventative's can help deworm your pet monthly for intestinal and heart related worms. Not every product covers the same deworming type and do not all equally kill the same types of worms. We recommend starting Heartworm preventative's generally around age 8 weeks of age depending on the product recommendations. It is still recommended to also have stools checked in young puppies for other common parasites that are not classified as a worm that dose can pick up.

Meet Simba Our Featured Pet Of The Day!! Simba is a 4 month old male Domestic Shorthair. Feline leukemia vaccinations are considered core vaccine's for kittens and young adults. It is important to maintain annual leukemia vaccinations in cats that remain indoor/outdoor pets throughout their life. If your pet stays indoor only after 2 years of age we do not generally recommend continuing feline leukemia vaccinations, as the risk for disease is low.

Did you know that it is a requirement for most states when traveling with your pet from one state to the next state to have an up-to-date rabies vaccination and certificate of veterinary inspection also known as a health certificate. Meet Penny Our Featured Pet Of The Day!! Penny is a 10 year old spayed Golden Retriever. We are currently recommending that you evaluate your pets toenail length every 14 days. Most dogs will need there nails trimmed every 2 to 4 weeks depending on their activity level and age. We do offer nail trims here and would love to help when needed.

Meet Estrella (on left) and Panda (on right) Our Featured Pets Of The Day!! These house mates are both 9 year old spayed Domestic Shorthair cats. We wanted to let our friends know that cats do get a form of dental disease call feline resorptive lesions which can be extremely painful. Cats with resorptive lesions will refuse to eat and will bleed or drool from the mouth. We recommend annual well checks on cats so that we can assess their teeth and other common areas of disease before it becomes a big problem. Happy Saturday Friends!!

Meet Dora Our Featured Pet Of The Day!! Dora is a 9 month old female Domestic Shorthair. Fun Fact about cats is they can not see right in front of their noses. When cats catch their pray they pounce to catch them and then use their whiskers to help find their pray and direct them to their mouths. Happy Friday Friends!!

It is generally not recommended to bath cats unless they have a diagnosed skin condition. Meet Kloe on left and Stella on right, these two house mates are Our Featured Pets Of The Day!! Kloe is a 7 year old spayed Domestic Shorthair. Stella is a 6 year old spayed Domestic Longhair. Vet med fact today is that spaying cats before their third heat will help reduce their risk for mammary cancer (cancer of mild glands). Cats and dogs both get mammary tumors, but when cats get them they are most likely aggressive (90% chance of malignancy).

Fun Fact, French Bulldogs almost never breed or give birth without veterinary professional intervention such as artificial insemination for breeding and cesarian section for delivery.
