Meet Griselda Our Featured Pet Of The Day!! Griselda is a 1 year old female American Bulldog. Griselda is helping us with these facts; How to know if your pet is having trouble breathing. Panting (open mouth) is normal for dogs when they get hot, stressed, or feel pain. Closed mouth panting is never normal in a pet. Cats or rabbits that open mouth breath are also always a concern. Labored breathing while sleeping is one of the first signs of heart disease. If you are concerned about your pets breathing please reach out and make an appointment with us as soon as possible.

Meet Juno on right and Nyx on left Our Featured Pets Of The Day!! These two are 13 weeks old and were here for the first puppy visits last week. Did you know that Rottweiller's are one of the breeds that tend to be the most sensitive to parvo viral infections. As a breed they tend to have a higher risk for more severe infections and even increased rate of death due to complications from this virus. It is important in all puppies that they be completely vaccinated at the correct times for parvo. Please let us know if you need an appointment today.

Did you know that Veterinarians and Veterinary Staff Members are at high risk for su***de. Our field is both a physically and emotionally demanding job. Meet R***r Our Featured Pet Of The Day!! R***r is a 6 year old neutered Shiba Inu. During the first month kids are going back to school it is important to give lots of options for your pets to stay mentally stimulated as a way to prevent anxiety at home. Keeping soothing background noise like radio or TV running, having automated feeders, trusted toys that they will play with, or interactive cameras that allow you to communicate with your pet can be helpful.

Meet Buddy Our Featured Pet Of The Day!! Buddy is a 9 year old neutered Pitbull mix. Did you know that dogs and cats can get skin acne. Typically, the affected area includes the chin, lips, and Muzzle. The irritated skin has a blackhead or pimple-like appearance. Acne is most commonly seen when the skin is irritated due to allergies, trauma during playing or scratching, or excessive moisture. It helps to make sure their drinking and food dishes are clean and dry daily, to prevent formation of irritated skin.
