Exciting UPDATE!!!! On Tuesday, I got the results of Bentley’s genetic testing that I had been waiting not so patiently for! I was so excited my heart was pounding and I was shaking as I clicked on that link. I was scared: Did they find a hidden health condition he was carrying? Would I be able to use him as a Stud dog when he’s older after putting in the money I have? Well, it turned out to be the best possible result: CLEAR OF ALL 255 health conditions they screen for both breed specific and across breeds!!!!! His “traits” he are also VERY desirable for breeders who are looking for a good Stud! I’ll go into more detail another time on those!! I’m SO thrilled!! 🤩

I may have big plans for this guy when he’s older! Swab collected Aug 2nd. Don’t be fooled by that cute, innocent look sitting there nicely before swabbing began. Instructions: “Swab inside dog’s cheek for 30-60 seconds” oh yeah sure that’s totally doable with a spastic little fluff with needles for teeth who will NOT hold still, and is trying to chew the swab. 🙄😆 I would’ve taken a video if I had another hand free while wrestling and swabbing. DNA test 🧪🧬🔬
