We have some unfortunate news to share about the future of NAEC. Unfortunately, Dr. Molly Ebinger received some personal news last week that will require her to take a leave of absence. For this reason, we will be postponing the opening of Northland Animal Emergency Care indefinitely.

We are heartbroken to say the least as we know how necessary after hours care is to our patients, clients, friends, and family and we were overwhelmed with gratitude for the community show of support.

Fortunately, there is another emergency service opening soon, Kansas City Animal Emergency with Dr. Kelly Famer. She is equally passionate about working with local veterinarians in ensuring access to veterinary care after-hours.

Thanks again for everyone's support and interest. We are so grateful to be a part of this community.

Dr Farmer and her crew are pleased to bring you Kansas City Animal Emergency!! We hope to open Mid October in Gladstone once all licenses are approved! We plan to be an afforadable, high-quality animal emergency center located in the Northland.
We will have experienced ER doctors and technicians that are excited to bring this much needed service to the area!
Our goal is to provide stabilizing care and then transfer your beloved pet back into the care of their regular DVM.
We look forward to providing the care that your pets need and deserve in an emergency!! Please like and follow our page for hours and a more precise opening date to come soon!

Hi everyone!

I am Dr. Tyler Armstrong- Medical Director of Platte Woods Animal Hospital and co-founder of Northland Animal Emergency Care.

I have been involved in veterinary medicine my entire life. I am a second generation veterinarian and my family has owned Platte Woods Animal Hospital since 1992. I’ve observed and assisted in all the processes of a veterinary hospital, from working the boarding facility, to answering the phones, to assisting the doctors, to being a doctor myself.

I completed my undergraduate and veterinary school education at the University of Missouri. I met Dr. Molly Ebinger on the first day of veterinary school orientation, and we have supported each other through the vigorous studies and challenges of early doctorhood. Now, we want to offer emergency veterinary medicine to the northland Kansas City area!

I have been a doctor in the northland since 2015. In that time, I have gained extensive experience in general practice care, soft tissue surgery, hospital staff management, urgent and emergency medicine, and canine reproduction. I have also worked as a relief emergency veterinarian at the MU Veterinary Health Center for the last year.

Investing time and mentorship into the community has always been a passion of mine. Since my graduation in 2015, I have educated several students ranging from high school programs, to veterinary technician students, to current veterinary school students. I also guest lecture at the Maple Woods Veterinary Technician School on canine reproduction. I have always found mentorship to be rewarding and I strongly feel that enthusiastic mentorship leads to efficient learning and higher quality medicine practices.

I am honored and privileged to work with Dr. Molly Ebinger and our dedicated staff as we work to provide after-hours veterinary care in Kansas City. This is a service that is absolutely essential to Kansas City’s pets, and we pledge to provide this care with the utmost compassion, transparency, and communication.

I am so excited to begin this endeavor. Though I hope that no pet in Kansas City needs this emergency service, the care will be here if and when you and your pet need it.

Hello,
Let me introduce myself:
I'm Molly Ebinger, veterinarian and Medical Director of Northland Animal Emergency Care. I want to share with you a little more about my background and aspirations for NAEC.

I completed both my undergraduate studies and veterinary school at the University of Missouri where I met Dr.Tyler Armstrong the first day of orientation! We've always supported each other through school and our early vet years, so it only makes sense to tackle this endeavor together!

I have had the privilege of serving the Northland and Lee's Summit communities in general practice as well working in emergency medicine at the MU Veterinary Health Center. I have also had the unique opportunity to flex my emergency skills in the Alaskan bush and the mountains of Norway looking after sled dogs as a Race Vet.

Teaching is another passion of mine and a different way I have gotten to connect with the veterinary community. I teach Practice Management and Veterinary Anatomy at the Maple Woods Veterinary Technology Program. Connecting with the program and shaping future technicians has been immensely rewarding.

Today, with Northland Animal Emergency Care, I am excited to bridge a vital gap in after-hours veterinary care in Kansas City. Having been a general practitioner in the area, I deeply understand the need for consistent availability, transparent treatment costs, and seamless communication regarding treatment plans.

Together, with a dedicated team, our mission is to work hand-in-hand with primary care veterinarians, guaranteeing a smooth transition for every pet back to their trusted primary veterinary caregivers.
