Our clinic cat, Asher received a dental procedure today! He was such a good patient and came out without needing any extractions! 😃 🐈‍⬛
❗️ Did you know that a cat’s dental health can be crucial to their overall health? ❗️ Dental health significantly impacts a cat's overall well-being and quality of life! Poor dental hygiene can lead to infections that affect vital organs and cause pain and eating difficulties. 🥺
Here are some signs that could mean it’s time for your cat to have a dental:
-Bad breath
-Discolored teeth or visible tartar buildup
-Red or swollen gums
-Difficulty eating, dropping food, or a reduced appetite
-Pawing at the mouth or face
-Bleeding from the mouth

Please welcome the newest addition to our veterinary family, Dr. Kirsten Stous!

Dr. Stous, a Shawnee, KS native, was inspired to become a DVM by her first dog, Oreo, a sweet Papillon. She graduated from Kansas State University in May 2025, bringing a wealth of experience from shadowing in clinics since high school and working as a vet assistant throughout college.

Dr. Stous is passionate about providing the best possible care for pets and is especially interested in oncology and cardiology. When she's not caring for your furry friends, she loves reading, baking, going to the lake, and spending time with her significant other, friends, and family (she's one of seven! 🤯). She also has a Rottweiler named Kipp!

We're so excited to have Dr. Stous join our team and can't wait for you to meet her!
