Be Their Miracle: Giving Tuesday Medical Fund
This Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, you have the power to transform lives. Every year, more than 16,000 pets come through the doors of KC Pet Project, and many of them arrive scared, injured, and in desperate need of help. These pets have nowhere else to turn. They rely on the expertise and compassion of our veterinary team to provide the care that saves their lives. But this vital work isn’t possible without you.
Our goal is to raise $60,000 to ensure that pets in critical condition receive the medical attention they so desperately need. Behind every number is a story—a dog found abandoned and injured, a kitten fighting for its life, a pet who had almost given up hope. Your gift gives these pets a second chance, a reason to keep fighting, and the promise of a brighter future.
This is more than a day of giving—it’s a mission of hope. Your support helps us provide lifesaving surgeries, advanced medical care, and the love and safety every pet deserves.
On December 3rd, join us in making a difference. Your contribution, no matter the size, is a beacon of hope for homeless pets in Kansas City.
This Giving Tuesday, be their miracle by visiting https://donate.kcpetproject.org/kcppgivingtuesday
On the morning of September 21st, a tiny kitten was brought to our vet clinic after being mistakenly treated with a topical medication intended for dogs. This caused a severe neurological episode, resulting in intense tremors that can last 24 hours or more. Our vet team immediately checked her vitals, administered fluids, and bathed her to remove the topical. Remarkably, just an hour after arriving, she was holding and playing with a toy. By the afternoon, she showed significant improvement and went home with one of our vet staff members for overnight monitoring.Six days later, fully recovered, this little fighter was ready for adoption. Stories like hers unfold in our shelter every single day. Today, we have 56 pets under the care of our vet clinic, each with their own unique medical needs. We can't continue this lifesaving work without your support. Please consider donating to our Roadrunner Medical Fund to help the pets currently in our care. #animalshelter #animalshelterlife #vetclinic #sheltercat #shelterkitten #shelterpets
On September 27th, Dozer arrived at our veterinary clinic in critical condition. She had been struck in the eye by a projectile, which fortunately missed her vital organs and lodged in her cheek. Our team carefully monitored her throughout the day, and despite her pain, she still found the strength to eat and even go for a short walk. Through it all, her tail never stopped wagging, a testament to her resilient spirit. The next day, our medical team successfully removed the projectile and her damaged right eye. A few days later, Dozer was reunited with her loving family in an emotional moment of relief and joy.Stories like Dozer's are not uncommon in our clinic. Every year, we treat countless animals who have endured trauma and injury, and thanks to the dedication of our vet team, we’re able to give them the second chances they deserve. To help us continue saving lives like Dozer’s, please consider donating to our Roadrunner Medical Fund, which supports the care of pets in our clinic and the many more that will need us in the future.
