Halloween Pet Safety Tips!

Halloween is full of fun and excitement, but it can be a little scary for our furry friends! Keep your pets safe and stress-free this spooky season with these tips:

No Human Treats: Keep candy away from pets! Chocolate and xylitol are toxic to dogs and cats. Stick to pet-safe treats.

Update Microchips & ID Tags: Make sure your pet’s microchip info is up to date, and they’re wearing a collar with an ID tag, just in case they escape. Don’t have a microchip? Purchase on at KC Pet Project for $35 (no appointment needed)

Be Careful with Costumes: If your pet is dressing up, ensure their costume is comfortable, doesn’t restrict movement, and doesn’t have small parts they could swallow.

Keep Pets Indoors: The hustle and bustle of trick-or-treaters can be overwhelming for pets. Keep them indoors to avoid them getting spooked or exposed to harmful items.

Halloween should be a fun time for everyone, including our pets! By following these simple precautions, you can ensure your furry family members stay safe and calm throughout the night.
