Despite our white fly and aphid issue (trying to resolve with some organic options), things are looking up this summer. Thankful for a super hardworking field crew putting in the work on these hot days to grow some beautiful crops (like this nice long truss of sakura cherry tomatoes 😍)

A HUUUGE thank you to and Evergy and the other Cultivate volunteers for coming out on Earth Day and busting out a ton of native tree/shrub potting work! We potted over 600 natives for our wildlife habitat project. I was thoroughly impressed with the efficiency of the crew, y’all know how to get sh*t done!

WE GOT EGGS! DM me if you’d like to purchase…but also, I did a dumb thing earlier this year and pulled a random price per dozen outta my chicken butt when i first got our hens. But, now that we have a few dozen available for sale again, I figured I’d use this as an opportunity to show y’all how to calculate the price of egg production on a small farm. There are expenses I’ve left out (taxes, licensing fees, egg cartons, etc) so I don’t actually expect to make a profit, which is a bummer, but since I’m the “labor” caring for these ladies, at least my time is accounted for. Profit on small farms is kinda a whole topic on its own, but ain’t nobody got time for that discussion right now.
