One thing that i bet almost every urban farmer experiences is the magnetization of so many neighborhood strays to their farm..that is certainly our case. So far we’ve been caring for and feeding these adorable little friends and have loved doing it, but unfortunately small farms don’t have much in the way of “excess funds” and I’ve just been tacking the costs on to our credit card balances. So it’s time to start fundraising and gathering resources. I will be formalizing a “friends of the farm cats” donation and volunteer program, but for the time being, if you have a few dollars you could spare, or some extra cat food, flea/dewormer medication, etc, myself and our feral feline friends would be oh so grateful. There’s a link in our bio to pitch in some funds (just my personal account at the moment), or if you’d like to drop off any food/medicine just drop off on our porch at 4139 Highland Ave in KCMO. Thank you ❤️

We let our fall tomatoes sprawl on the ground to stay close to that ground heat at night, but with these temps i prob should’ve trellised. The volunteer amaranth and cosmos are loving it too 😍

The pepper tunnel (i.e. the pepper forest) - Avrey and Karley straight up swimming in it. We have to army crawl in the passage between each bed to harvest the aji limo and aji amarillo, but so worth it! It’s kinda magical in there
