Kansas City wins!

Winnie has been crowned as this week's ! That means that Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi has paid for her adoption fee!

Winnie is a sweet girl with a heart full of love just waiting to find her forever family. Life in the shelter has been a bit overwhelming for her shy spirit, but we know that the right home can help her blossom into the joyful companion she is meant to be. She can be a bit picky when it comes to furry friends. A slow and careful introduction to other dogs would be best for her, as she prefers quality over quantity in the friendship department. Winnie is searching for a patient and understanding family willing to take things slow as she adjusts to her new surroundings. A tranquil environment where she can build trust and confidence would be the perfect setting for her to truly shine.

Now, each dog adopted through this great partnership will go home with a Nnadi Dog Pets Pack and $10 off ZIWI air-dried recipes at participating retailers.

'Tis the season of giving, and we're excited to announce that we will be collecting donations for Harvesters - The Community Food Network at the clinic through Friday, December 29th.

In the 26 counties that Harvesters services, 1 in 11 people and 1 in 8 children are at risk of hunger and are dealing with food insecurity. You can help by bringing non-perishable food items to donate.

Thanksgiving is coming up, folks, and this year we're scheduling a little bit differently. Unlike past years, we will be open the full day Wednesday, November 22nd. We will instead be closed the full day on not only Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23rd, but also Friday, November 24th.

We’re partnering with Leopold Gallery + Art Consulting for the month of November! The Gallery will donate a percentage of any purchase by a Wayside Supporter! Drop by the gallery to pick up some special gifts on your holiday list and support the animals at Wayside Waifs! Our Vet Techs are the best around and we are so lucky and appreciative to have them - we truly would not be able to run without them! Elvy is an adorable 2-year-old terrier mix with the most adorable set of ears you ever will see! She has such an upbeat personality and silly wiggling butt there is no denying how happy she is to be around you! Kisses are one of the many ways this sweet girl shows her love. She's also happy to lean in for some good pets and scratches! This playful girl also enjoys participating in playgroups, chasing down treats, and prancing through the grass as she walks! As an added bonus she is a quick learner who loves working on her sit skills and practicing her focused working walk when out and about!

It's the time of year where Noah's Ark celebrates our senior pets! Dogs 7 years and older and cats 9 years and older are eligible for 15% off their Senior Wellness Panels for the months of September and October.

What is the Senior Wellness Panel? It is a diagnostic panel where we use a blood sample and urinalysis to check for any underlying illnesses that our older friends are more susceptible to as they age - early detection and treatment is the key for a long and healthy life!

Today we celebrated with Dr. Noella as she moves on to retirement and spending more time with her family. While we will miss her more than words can say, we are beyond excited for her to embark on this new journey, and can't wait to hear about all the travels and adventures she will have.
