Congratulations to Rylie Sander on her lease of Midnight In Paris! We are so so lucky to have this 1 meter schoolmaster to show Rylie the ropes of jumping bigger jumps! Also, he's absolutely adorable! Thanks so much to Kelly Gordon and Cherokee Valley Farm for the opportunity to have this amazing guy in the barn!

WEF brought 10 horses and riders to the KHJA - Kansas Hunter Jumper Associations Topeka show! Our photographer, Haley Johnson, went on an adventure to Rebecca Farm afterwards so I don't exactly remember everyone's placings, but here are some highlights:

Mel Koup & Lemmy, Caroline Hawkinson & Clou, Parker Price & Mimosa and Rylie Sander & Cleo all moved up to the 2'9 hunters and earned ribbons.

Kenzie Elleathy and Cassidy Johnson had their first shows with WEF and earned ribbons. We hope to see you at many more shows!

Rylie was third in the Hunter Derby in her last show with Cleo as she now has a lease horse of her very own!

We also had several breakthroughs with our favorite jumping bean Gus! I see jumps as big as he thinks he needs to jump in his future.

We lost our most special little guy yesterday due to complications of old age. For 11 years, CJ was our mascot, our designated young horse minder and our friend. He'd been with us through everything since moving into our current location 11 years ago: our first clinic, first foals, all the bad haircuts, all the heartbreak and all the joy. Thank you to Strain Equine Services for your compassionate care, to Greener Pastures for incredibly quick service to bury our special guy, and to everyone who has loved CJ over the years. Archer D'Elphen is a stunning paint yearling warmblood c**t already standing at 14.3 hands. "Archie" is by top hunter stallion Grimore D'Elphen and out of an RPSI mare who showed in the Children's Hunters. This c**t has excellent gaits, with a ground covering trot, a huge walk, and a balanced canter. Archie has been extensively handled and leads, cross ties, lunges, and leads very well for his age. He is extremely friendly and personable and gets along with other foals and adult horses well. Never reactive, when Archie sees something new, he likes to stop and look, but won't bolt, kick, rear or buck. He is up to date on all vaccines and ready to go.

A super opportunity for an amateur to produce a top young hunter prospect who is very mature for his age. Only selling as owner is being laid off.

Last weekend we took 5 horse and rider pairs to the 84th annual Bridlespur Horse Show, hosted by Happenstance Farms in Wright City, MO. We had so much fun at this beautiful, well-run show! We are incredibly lucky to get three rings plus a warmup arena at a Midwest schooling show! Thank you to Ellen for hosting, and let me know what I owe you for that drain I kinda took out on the way in. 🤪

Results:
Berklee (.eqq) & Gus:
Berklee welcomed Wrythm and Tyme, an 11 year old Oldenburg, on May 17th. She brought him to the show just for fun and experience, but ended up getting a 4th and 3 5ths in the 2'3 Intermediate Hunter division and 9th in the 2'6 Hunter Derby!

Alex & Atticus:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the .60 jumpers
2nd, 4th, 2 5ths and a 6th in the 2'3 Intermediate Hunters

Caroline () & Clou:
Champion in the .85 jumper division

Rylie () and Cleo:
Reserve champion 2'6 Low Children's Hunters day 1
3rd 2'6 hunter derby
1st, 2nd, 2 3rds and 2 5ths Low Children's Hunters day 2

Mel & Lemmy:
Reserve Champion .75 jumpers
