**ADORABLE ADOPTABLE OF THE DAY!!**

Meet Evie! 💚 Evie is a 1 year old petite girl, weighting around 5 lbs. Her dark brown tabby stripes and beautiful eyes make this girl quite the head turner. She came to our rescue after her caretaker had to move away and we didn't want her to be left behind alone! She had a terrible dental infection when she came to our care and had an extensive dental done, with quite a few teeth removed. She eats well now, mostly canned food with a bit of hard as a bonus. She has no problem with kibble type treats. In Evie's foster home she does wonderfully with other cats. She prefers to not be around dogs and prefers not to be picked up. She would prefer a little quieter home but will be a great addition to your family.

**ADORABLE ADOPTABLE OF THE DAY!!**

Meet Joseph! 💛 Joseph is a special guy. Foster Mom says "his disposition is awesome!" He is a 3 month old pit bull mix who gets along well with other dogs and with cats. He sleeps through the night and is progressing very well for his age with potty training. He loves to snuggle with his foster parents. Toys and playing are of course a favorite and he is an all around happy and loving guy!

**ADORABLE ADOPTABLE OF THE DAY!!**

Meet Teddy! 💙 Teddy is an adorably loveable senior Beagle boy looking for his forever retirement home. Teddy was surrendered to rescue sadly due to his mama's medical issues and she could no longer care for him. He's a friendly, snuggly boy, who gets along well with other dogs. I like to give hugs and kisses and sit on your lap. I especially love to cuddle and sleep in the bed with you. Sometimes literally in the bed, like burrowed under the covers! I love car rides and going into stores where dogs are allowed to meet new people! When I'm happy, my whole body wiggles. If you have treats, we'll be besties and I take them very nicely. Especially if it involves peanut butter....hint hint. I'm just a generally happy boy who even loves to play in the snow zooming around. Because of that, I would love a fenced yard to run in. Meet Sox! 🧦 Sox is a fantastically social guy who found himself safe with our rescue after escaping a domestic violence situation. Sox loves his people and is an affectionate lap cat. He gets along with respectful dogs and Sox truly LOVES children. Children are his favorite and he'd really love a home with a family. He does not do well with other cats as he wants all of the love for himself. He is 6-7 years old and so excited to meet you

**ADORABLE ADOPTABLE OF THE DAY!!**

Meet Ruby! ❤️ Ruby is a precious senior girl who has been through too much in her 12 years. She was found as a stray and had severe dry eye disease that had not been treated, resulting in pain and blindness. She has been groomed and pampered, had an extensive dental, and had eye surgery to remove her very damaged and non-functional eyes. She feels SO much better and we are so happy for sweet Ruby.

Ruby would do best in a more quite home where she will not be expected to navigate stairs. Older children only. No young children. She does well with other respectful dogs that are not high energy. She basically ignores them. She loves her food and loves to eat. She is very attached to her kennel and bed as you can imagine with her blindness. She can leave them and walk around a small distance away. She does not bark and foster Mom takes her potty outside during the times she leaves her kennel. She is a sweet sweet girl who deserves a pampering retirement home for her to live out the rest of her days.

Meet Garfield & Nermal! 🧡💜 Garfield & Nermal are a pair of 2-year-old bonded cats who came to us after being abandoned in the cold weather. Nermal is a pretty calico female and Garfield a chonky orange boy. Garfield was never properly socialized to humans and is very dependent on Nermal for comfort so they need to go to a home together. Garfield may never be a lap kitty, but loves a good churu treat and has adjusted well to indoor living. Nermal on the other hand, is quite the friendly girl and will be a wonderful companion not only for Garfield, but also for their adopter. They are good with other cats and fine with respectful dogs. We recommend no small children as these 2 need to be watched carefully around open doors to keep them inside. Please apply today to meet this deserving duo.

Meet Peach! 🍑 Peach is a girl who has life figured out. Play hard, sleep hard. She loves to be involved in everything you do and is always up for investigating and learning something new. She now sleeps through the night without a potty break, as long as she gets to be the big spoon!

Meet Bisque! 💛 Bisque is an adorable little 10 week old kitten with the roundest little face. She loves to talk and has the quietest chirp of a meow. Her favorite spot is at your feet or beside you on the couch. Bisque is very playful and loves to carry around her ball toys. She is unphased by the dog in the home and loves to snuggle up with her siblings when play time is over.

**ADORABLE ADOPTABLE OF THE DAY!!**

Meet Duke! ❤ Duke is a handsome 4.5 year old male boxer mix. This boy is a quick learner, hyper speed. He's already learned the ropes in his foster home and will be an outstanding, loyal companion for his new owner. Duke's prior owner sadly passed away and his family was unable to keep him. He has already learned "go to your room", "crate", and "go eat" at which time he goes over to his bowl for his meal. Amazing! He waits for permission to be invited onto the couch, but his face is so cute there's no way you can tell him no. He loves to give kisses and is a fantastic cuddler. He enjoys exploring the yard but is quick to want to come back to the indoor comforts when he's done with his business. He does well with other dogs of similar size. He has a strong prey drive and should not be around cats or other small animals, including small dogs. He does well with kids. This boy loves a big stuffie toy and will carry it all around with him. Nylabones are a great way to occupy his time and energy and he also likes car rides. He'd be a great running buddy or pet for an active household.

💙 DONOR SPOTLIGHT 💙

Puppy’s Playpen has been a supporter of The Rescue Project for several years. They have a donation bin located in their entryway where clients can donate gently used items or make purchases from the TRP Wishlist. Puppy’s Playpen has also provided their own donations to us to help support our mission to help animals in the KC Metro. The donations range from dog/cat food, kennels and crates, beds, leashes, and collars. We always love to hear form the manager telling us the bin is full!

Meet Soup! 💙 Soup is the snuggliest little 10 week old kitten there ever was. He will follow his person around the house and loves to snuggle on his person's chest. **ADORABLE ADOPTABLE OF THE DAY!!**

Meet Yoshi! 💚 Yoshi is a 1 year old black lab mix. He is a very sweet and cuddly boy, often referred to as a "velcro dog". He likes to know where his people are and be with them whenever he can. This guy loves to spoon and sleep next to his people in the bed. He's very playful and loves chasing balls. He may destroy a stuffed dog toy, but he knows what is his and what isn't and he is not destructive with other things. Being young and with his breed, he would do best with space to run or with a person who is active and will take him on runs/frequent outings.

Yoshi is great with other dogs and does well with cats. He would do well with older kids. We do not advise toddlers just due to his size and energy. He know his basic commands like sit, stay, leave it. Apply today to meet this absolutely fantastic boy!
