We get this question all the time. Do we brush teeth?
Well. Once upon a time, we did. The grooming seminars pushed it for an add-on basicly to make more money.
Well. Now, we are more educated and realize that brushing a dogs teeth once in a while does nothing. It may even create soreness if there's tartar or inflamtion. So we try to educate the owners about teeth care. We tell you when we see any health issues that might warrant a vet visit. In our experience, prevention is key. Diet is important. Dry food doesn't keep tartar away. Actually, the ingredients matter more. Carbs create more tartar. Bully sticks and raw marrow bones can really help. We want what's best for your pet and we won't do anything just to make more money.

Did you get a new puppy?
We ❤️ LOVE puppies! Grooming should start early so the pet gets accustomed to the whole process. As soon as the pup gets two sets of puppy vaccinations, we can start grooming. A bath and blow dry, along with getting the nails done with a sanitary trim, does wonders! We like to make the process fun and a necessary part of life. And, we specialize in small dogs. We had an accident happen in front of our building Saturday morning at 2:50 am. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt. Driving at a high rate of speed with construction cones is not good for anyone. It may take us a bit to repair the damage. If you walk here, be cautious. I tried to get all the glass and debris cleaned up, but it's impossible. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

🚨 Help Get Frankie to a Sanctuary! 🚨
KC Food Not Bombs stands in solidarity with KC Animal Action. Frankie is a Capuchin monkey currently being kept in a small cage at Pet Stop in Shawnee, Kansas. In the wild, Capuchin monkeys like Frankie live in large family groups and spend their lives exploring the vast rainforest canopies. But Frankie is alone and confined to a small space, far from the life he should be living.
The good news? 🐒 An accredited sanctuary with years of experience in rehabilitating monkeys like Frankie has offered to take him in! At the sanctuary, Frankie would receive excellent veterinary care, be introduced into a social group, and finally have the space to engage in natural behaviors in a more appropriate environment.
But Pet Stop hasn’t yet agreed to send Frankie to this sanctuary. 😔
That’s where you come in! Let’s urge the store to do what’s best for Frankie. Please join me in politely asking them to send Frankie to the sanctuary where he can live a better life.

Look what we get to groom today! A PUPPY. Saffron is only 13 weeks old. We love to teach puppies how to be groomed. We love it when the owners start early! Sweet baby!
