These common items are harmful to BOTH dogs and cats:

This love bug came in from our partners at KCK Animal Services with a serious injury to his eye and needed it removed. We took this video the day after his surgery and as you can tell he was feeling so much better after getting his eye taken care of and of course lots of TLC. 🥰❤

This little pup is the perfect example of why it is SO important to be honest with your vet. Scrappy's owner brought him to our urgent care after she discovered he had eaten a 500mg marijuana edible. Scrappy was already experiencing tremors when he arrived so our vet team hooked him up to an IV and gave him a dose of charcoal to absorb the toxins in his system.
Lucky for Scrappy he was was able to go home later that day but if he had not come in he could have experienced seizures and even death. So PLEASE, be honest with your vet. We know accidents happen and pets get into all sorts of things. We just want to be able to get your pet the care they need so that they can get back to feeling healthy and happy. If you would like to help provide care for a sick or injured pet in need, please consider making a donation at the link below. 💙

Holly Update
Remember Holly from a couple of weeks ago? She was the sweet girl who'd been mauled by several other dogs. We got this great update from Friends of KCK Animal Services with her progress. Her injured leg is doing better and she's going down stairs!
She has a foster who's working with her to help with her strength, her courage, and learning to be a happy puppy.
Always glad to see how our urgent care friends are recuperating!
