It’s time for elections and we’ve got three positions to fill!

Nominations will be open until 12/23 then voting will happen the first few weeks of the year.

Chapter leaders will receive community membership level to The National Young Farmers Coalition.
We encourage EVERYONE to look at national membership—for as little as $1/year!

We’re looking forward to more gathering, growing, advocating, and learning together in the coming season; it would be great to have you along.

We're back! After a year of strategic planning with the support of National Young Farmers Coalition, we are in our Reawakening Era and looking forward to gathering again. This year is giving community first, it's giving networking, relationship strengthening, connecting. We'll host as many Weed Eaters as we can--gatherings on area farms to join in labor needs and share potluck meals. The first one is coming up! Sunday April 14 3-5pm at Oddbird Farm 28405 Fairview Rd De Kalb, MO 64440. Please wear all-weather work gear and come with a sharable dish in tow. We'll look toward elections and working groups in winter 2024 after we get some time together sweating and eating! Looking forward to being together again and seeing where the Chapter will grow.

Who Are The KC Young Farmers?

KC Young Farmers Coalition is a regional chapter of the National Young Farmers Coalition formed in February 2019. Our members include urban and rural farmers ranging in experience from aspiring to farmers with ten years or less experience in agriculture. KC Young Farmers extends membership to friends of farmers and farmer allies who wish to give their support to the development and success of new farmers.

KC Young Farmers Coalition formed to serve as a collective resource to aspiring and new farmers by offering community, advice, seed discounts, tool shares, educational opportunities and shared labor. Involvement in our chapter provides a platform for participation in local, state, and national policy campaigns on issues that affect new farmers.
