Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural areas. We do not limit our efforts to a specific breed, but rather strive to assist any dog that is facing neglect, homelessness, abuse or death. Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate each canine in our care through placement in loving foster homes until they can be carefully matched with adoptive families.

Look at these 2 adorable Dalmatians looking for their forever home❣️ Bentley (6) & Beckham (4) are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. They are mellow but can be playful when you want. They love chasing balls. Bentley is 42lbs and Beckham is 50lbs. Both are very affectionate. Beckham takes a little bit to trust humans but after a day or two he’s a lapdog. They get along great with the other foster dog in the home but have not been cat tested. They are neutered and up to date on all their shots and their fee is $400 for the pair. Hey, hi, hello. I'm Teddy. I'm a shy guy, but I warm up fairly quickly. I've been exploring Kansas City at events and loud noises scare me but I'm getting better each time. I prefer to be cuddled in your lap. Snuggling is my main gig. I'll go wherever you go, and I'll do whatever you do, just as long as you PROMISE to snuggle.
I am pretty good on a leash and I do great with other dogs, cats and kids. I keep my kennel clean and am just super sweet.

Hi I'm Kyle!
I'm a 4 month old Lab mix that's ready for my fur ever home. As much as I love my chew toys and ropes, I prefer cuddling and being close to my human. Sometimes I sit and watch what's going on around me and all of the people and new sounds. My Foster sister and I like to play and we are best buds, so I know I can make more friends in other places too! Cats are very interesting to me, and I am learning that they like their space and that I can walk past them without chasing them. I do not like my kennel, but I've learned to be quiet at night as long as I can see my human. I don't enjoy being alone, but as I practice, I am getting better. I'm excited to learn new things, and have been working on my commands. I like watching Tv!

Hi I'm Max!
I just turned 1 years old and I love other dogs and am good with people. Sometimes I take a bit to warm up, but after I do, WATCH OUT, I will be your best friend for life! I am also house and kennel trained so no worries with me on that. Did you know I can sit on command and can catch treats in my mouth! One of my favorite things to do is snoozing in my doggy bed. I also love my toys and I would do zoomies all day if you would let me...I mean who doesn't love a great zoomie session! Even though I love to play, I also LOVE my cuddles too. 🎣 🐠 CATFISH BILLY NEEDS YOU! 🎣 🐠 Guys! This is Catfish Billy. He was picked up as a stray in Drexel, MO. No one came to claim him. 🥹We took him in, got him shots, heartworm tested, tick tested, microchipped and neutered. His bloodwork wasn't bad except it did show he has ehrlichia disease, which isn't curable but is managed with medication if he has a flair up. CB has now been in boarding for 12 days. During this time, his front leg swelled up. We did more testing and believe that CB was bitten by a spider. The vet had to sedate him, drain the puss, and insert a drain tube. Today when we visited him his leg was much better and he's in his same happy place. We only have room at the clinic until June 22nd for him. He has to be moved out. Can you foster? CATFISH BILLY NEEDS A FOSTER! CB was found as a stray this past week, no chip, no one came to claim him. He’s smelly, he’s covered in huge ticks but this boy is a happy boy. His tail wags non-stop. Non-reactive to other dogs. He was found a a playground that kids were playing at. Cats have not been tested. He’s 50lbs. Can you bust him out of boarding?
