Vermilion Parish Rabies Animal Control Welcome to our page. We will be posting animals available to rescues daily. We really need these animals to be viewed easily.

Please keep discussions to the discussion board on the page to avoid clutter on the wall. Due to limited kennel space, pets posted on this page typically only have 4 days before they are subject to euthanization. Also pets in this facility are not for adoption by the general public. If you are interested in one of these animals, contact your local rescue group for them to facilitate and handle any adoptions. All information know about these animals will be included in the descriptions.

Due to COVID 19 Restrictions, our facility is open to the Public M-F from 10AM-3PM, and Saturdays from 11AM-2PM. If you have an emergency outside of these hours, please contact your local law enforcement authorities.

We are a KILL Shelter, however EUTHANASIA is the LAST choice that we want to make. Thanks to the Vermilion Parish Police Jury, Animal Aid for Vermilion Area (AAVA), LA Imagine No Kill (LINK), Misfit Rescue, many Vermilion Parish Citizens, and our wonderful Staff, Volunteers and Fosters, we are able to save the lives of hundreds of animals each year.
