Today I'd like to give some appreciation to all the mentors and teachers of horsemanship I have had over the years. (50+) I don't remember everyone's name, but each person has played a part in my horse knowledge.

Dressage trainers: Katherine Willoughby, Jec Ballou, Jana Armstrong, Annika Kloosterman, Bonnie(international dressage judge).

Gaited Trainers: Elizabeth Graves, Susanna Widrig, Laura Benson

Cattle and Trail work: Mitch and JoLinn Hoover, Dennis Reis, cutting trainer(long time ago)

And these riding partners and mentors: Of course first I should thank my Mom for starting me off riding from Geyserville to Healdsburg on our horse Blaze was I was only 2 weeks old. Crazy mom, love you. Adam Cleff, I learned an important lesson about giving the horse trust and they give it back, Janis Laurain, Carin Cooper, Lynette Rose, Julie Gossman, Gina Lovmark, Susie Castle(introduced me to mounted archery Rip), Cheryl (gave me a horse trained by John Lyons when I was 18), Sonoma Pony Club, Kim Dunn, Sylvia Szabo, Cynthia Edwards, Kari Gulbransen and many, many more.

The countless clinics and a few shows have taught me so much. Working with a wild young stallion that had been kicked out of a herd taught me that horse language is universal.

Today I am in appreciation of all the people and horses that have educated me into being a kind, quiet instructor to both humans and horses.

What services are currently offered? Starting in October 2024

Here on Big Island, we have 2 riding instructors available in Kapoho, licensed and insured.

Lessons:

Children ages 5-18 (50/hr) English(dressage), Western, arena and trail.

Adults: 19 and up (60/hr) English or Western, arena or trail. This can also include Mounted Archery after beginning horsemanship is completed. Gaited and non gaited horses.

We also offer Fantasy Photo Shoots with horses for kids or adults. Some themed costumes included. Makeup and Hair extra. (120/2 hour session). At least 20 professional digital images. On or next to the horses.

Inquire about horse training, re-starting, ground work, remote services (we can come to your farm to help you or your horse).
