Did you know rabbits should receive annual health checkups? Veterinarians examine rabbits using techniques similar to those used for dogs and cats. Dental problems in rabbits are common because all of their teeth grow continuously throughout their life, and if they do not eat hay, they do not have the opportunity to wear down their teeth as they grow. Proper dental care and an appropriate diet help reduce dental problems!

Histopathological examination of Kit's limb revealed osteosarcoma. Feline osteosarcoma is rare and 67-90% of bone tumors in cats are malignant. Cats typically develop osteosarcoma at an older average age of 10.5 years.

Pip Squeak from PCHSRochester was brought in due to not eating or drinking, resulting in dehydration. Pip Squeak began eating squeeze-up treats enthusiastically. Her weight increased by approximately 10%, which matched her dehydration level. By the end of the day, Pipsqueak showed signs of improvement, such as purring, grooming, and increased activity. We hope she continue to feel better. Here's a picture of her snoozing away, swaddled in all the holiday blankies!
