A successful day at the NCRHA Futurity & Derby 👏🏼

Jacob Anderson and SH Gameface kicked off what is sure to be a strong show career for “Bugsy”, marking a solid 214.5 in the Open Futurity despite a lead change penalty. Jacob and “Bugsy” were 3rd in the Level 1, 7th out of 29 in the Level 2, and 9th out of 32 in the Level 4 winning a couple of checks in Bugsy first time in the show pen.

A huge thank you to Gene Vandeberg & Melodie Nelson for selling “Bugsy” to Jacob and Sonny.

We’d also like to give a big thank you to Sonny Anderson for betting on Jacob and helping him find this amazingly talented and good minded stallion.

I’d also like to thank Haylo Haynets for the great products that they create. Your items make my life easier at home and shows.

Last but not least, thank you Wyatt Zaun for the endless phone calls of questions you’ve answered and extra set of eyes you have provided. You have forever changed my life. I am grateful for all the help you have provided me.

Hello Everyone! With the start of July here with a bang we have a few fun things to report on! As usual, the Aqha Versatility World Show had things heating up in June.

I would like to give Samantha Lyons a gigantic congratulations on placing 4th in the Limited youth Cowhorse, Top 10 in Reining and Top 10 in the AllAround! That was a very fun way to complete your youth career and first time at the World Championship!

Norma Rasmusson did an amazing job with her first time at the world show as well. She held her own in a very deep Limited Am class. She did a great job learning on the fly and how to improvise, adapt and overcome in the heat of the moment!

I am very proud of you gals taking a big leap and getting out of your comfort zone! You both inspire me to try harder every single day.

Genuine Lil Gun bred by Haseleu Quarter Horses of Litchville ND snuck his and Jacob’s way into the Top 10 for a second year in a row. “Clyde” has definitely earned some pasture time and a lot of cookies for a while.

I Would also like to give a big shout out to Haylo Haynets. The products that they make and distribute make the life of anyone in the equine industry a little less stressful. It doesn’t matter if you’re at home or at a show. They have products that fit for all occasions.

I would like to give a gigantic congratulations to Emily Fannik on her 3rd Place year end finish for the Aqha VRH Limited Youth. Adding this to her top 10 finish in the all around at the VRH World Show has been quite an accomplishment. Emily, you constantly work your tail off to become better each and every time you ride. I am very proud of you.

I'll be in the barn. When people have come to visit over the years they commonly hear from me "I'll be in the barn." When life gets hard I'll be in the barn. When things are just right I'll be in the barn. When the sun shines, the rain falls or snow covers the ground I'll be in the barn. If things seem to be falling apart or if I'm celebrating the simple things, I'll be in the barn. When I'm looking for answers or trying to clear my mind, I'll be in the barn. When I'm looking for myself, I'll be in the barn. If I'm working or trying to relax, I'll be in the barn. Even when I'm not in the barn my mind drifts there, I find myself thinking about being in the barn... It's where I keep my riches. All my wins and my failures. Every one of my hopes, dreams, hardships and memories. You can find them all in the barn, buried in the hay, hiding under a halter, spilling out of the feed bins, or glimmering with dust in the evening light. I may be covered in dust, dirt, feed, hair, and hay, smell of sweat and manure, and sometimes there may be blood or tears, but I'll be there. I'll be in the barn. So if you're wondering where to find me, I'll be in the barn. If I'm not there, I promise I'm on my way.

We had a fun day at the Aqha show in Aberdeen. Norma Rasmusson was able to make her first AQHA appearance and did a fantastic job with a pair of second place finishes. Kelly Lyons also had a great weekend with some top 5 finishes and her horse hector finishing second in the Jr ranch trail.

Aberdeen wouldn’t be complete without a quick stop at Storybook Land.
