These dogs were originally bred to work on farms, which means they thrive when given a job. If we don't provide them with a task, they'll find one on their own. They may not realize that nipping at your ankles is uncomfortable for you, but it is instinctively satisfying for them. The ball I'm using is the Jolly Pets Push n Play ball, available on Amazon. It's made of hard plastic that can't be crushed by their teeth.

Neutrality training is such a crucial yet tricky skill to teach. You have to really watch your dogs body language and your surroundings while making sure your timing is just right for your dog. Toby really struggled with lunging and barking/growling when he spotted a dog no matter what they were doing. We got to work showing him that there's a better way! Now he reverts to giving his owner attention and not lunging towards the dog. The training changed his mindset towards dogs which in turn changed the way he reacted towards them. I'm so proud of this team!!
