Calling all Scouts!
Magonlia Ranch is happy to offer the opportunity for your Scouts group to come out and earn their horsemanship badge. We offer a 2 hour group lesson for up to 4 kids or 1 hour for 2 kids. Come out and learn the following skills:
Tie a quick release knot
Catch a horse
Lead a horse
Grooming
Tacking
30 minutes of ride time: stop/walk/turn
Untack
Other groups are more than welcome to take these classes! Please contact us for more information and dates/times available.
Cost is $50 per kid.

☀️Sophia☀️

Sophia is a beautiful, stout, and kind hearted 10 year old Friesian cross mare. She stands 16.1 hh with big bone and excellent feet.

She is the total package and can do absolutely everything! Sophia has had extensive groundwork, including tons of desensitization, ground tying, following you when asked, etc. She even knows a few Parelli tricks!

Sophia has typical Friesian movement. Her trot is light and her lope is like a rocking horse. She can be ridden western, english, or ba****ck! While we would consider her more of a woah ride, Sophia will lope both leads on cue with a smooth transition in and out of gait.

Sophia is easy to ride and enjoys a job. However, she can sit for a month and will come back the same horse she was before. She has been used in our beginner kids lessons and group lesson program. She does well in both a group or the private lesson setting.

She will stand for the farrier and is easy to load up and haul out! Sophia has no bad habits in the barn but prefers lots of turn out. She is easy to catch out of the pasture and comes right up for dinner time. If you have been looking for a dream horse that will turn heads wherever you go, Sophia is your gal!

This program is packed with lots of fun outdoor activities for ages 8-16. Students will get the opportunity to groom, ride, and care for a horse each camp day and learn about what the ranch life is all about!

Early enrollment for summer camps are now open!

This summer, join Magnolia Ranch as we host Horse Camp! Camp sessions are held Monday-Friday from 8 am to 2 pm. Each day will be filled with riding, unmounted activities, crafts, and lots of outdoor fun.

Sessions #1 June 5th - 9th
Session #2 June 19th - 23rd
Session #3 July 10th - 14th

Blue Bonnet

Coming 4 year old mare, gorgeous blue roan. Blue Bonnets coat does get darker in the winter but really shows in the summer - pictures available. Stands 15 hh. This mare has had extensive ground training since last year. She lounges nicely, has been worked with ropes, tarps, flags, tractors, and a family with lots of other farm pets! She isn't shy of dogs, goats, minis, or kids running around. Blue has been ridden through water, on trails, and over obstacles. She is quiet and calm when ridden, with an easygoing gait on trails. When introduce new things, it's hard to believe she is just a 3 year old, as she takes everything in stride. Blue Bonnet shows great promise in the arena to possibly go in the performance direction, as well. She is ready for someone to turn her into a great performance partner or use her as a happy family horse! Available on consignment by Magnolia Ranch. Currently in Katy, Tx.
