Facts!

Wayyyy too many people assume if a dog has accidents that it means it is not potty trained. Accidents can also mean stress, anxiety, confusion, or be a way of communication about being unhappy about something. House breaking may need to be reinforced in every new house when a dog is adopted or fostered. The key is that the PEOPLE have to be consistent about the training. Most of the time it will just *click* with the dog within a week with all accidents suddenly stopping as they remember their training in a new place. Patience and Prevention!

Welcome Grizzly to the newest chapter of your rescue journey….the “good boy” part!

Don’t adjust your eyes, he is most definitely a puppy. He’s been here at school just under 24 hrs and already showing signs of improvement in some unwanted behaviors reported.

He’s a baby, he needs some confidence, and he’s going to get it right here with us. We might even throw some Thanksgiving trimmings in this week for him!

If you’d like to send this special guy a little something to assist with his training he’d be super excited to get some fan mail!

Welcome Brutus to our Summer Camp! 🐾

This guy is so sweet but at just 6 months old is fearful of meeting new dogs on leash. He’s not a huge dog, just 35 lbs, bigger dogs most definitely scare him. (And he’s reacts like a crazy boy)

We’ve got some work to do but he’ll get there! If you’d like to donate to his rescue to help cover his fees please consider a donation to Cypress Lucky Mutt Rescue.

Welcome sweet Rosie to the Academy! She’s had a rough start to her life and fears other dogs on leash. We are determined to turn her life around. As you can see Rosie isn’t a spring chicken, but that doesn’t mean she still can’t walk the runway! We will be working from Rosie’s home where she’s most comfortable. 🐾 🫶🏼 🐶

I thought you’d appreciate this: we started Gus at the local doggie day care because on Wednesdays we are all at work and he needs to be able to play freely etc. so I just went to drop him off and the folks there were elated that he was there because two of their shy, introverted dogs were there and only Gus is able to get them to play and engage.

You did an amazing job with that boy!!!”
